Quest Group: Main Quests
Suggested level: 28
Location: Skellige
This quest begins when you, Avallac'h, Ciri, Yennefer and Triss come to Skellige Islands to face Eredin. To do this, you must first get to the Emperor's ship and convince him to free Fringilla Vigo. Yennefer will give you a letter that you should show Emhyr to remind him what he has promised and what he will get in return. Completing this quest is one of the objectives of the "Battle Preparations" quest.
As an attentive reader you surely remember that the Wild Hunt could only be defeated with the help of powerful magic, and for this reason Geralt had recruited the most powerful sorceresses in the world, both those he liked and those he utterly detested, to join his cause. When a chance arose to add Fringilla Vigo to the roster, Geralt seized it without a moment's hesitation and went straightaway to the emperor's ship, where the dark-haired sorceress was being held.
Emhyr is aboard his flagship, which is surrounded by other ships in his fleet near Undvik. Your goal is to reach the anchor of his flagship, where you will be able to climb aboard. Wait until evening arrives and swimm to the anchor of Emhyr's ship, avoiding the lights. You can also dive and swimm deep underwater. If you are discovered before you reach the anchor, the Nilfgaardian soldiers will become hostile.
When you come aboard, you'll meet Emhyr there. You will show him the letter Yennefer gave you and Emhyr will agree to release Fringilla. Then the sorceress will teleport herself and you back to Kaer Trolde Harbor, and this quest will end.
Fringilla Vigo was the emperor's prisoner, and probably would have remained so till the end of her days if not for Yennefer's pact with Emhyr. He agreed to let the sorceress go - on condition she help in the fight against the Wild Hunt.
