Quest Group: Main Quests

Suggested level: 30

Location: Skellige

Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest On Thin Ice.

This quest begins when after killing Eredin, Yennefer teleports you from his ship. The Conjunction of the Spheres begins and everything seems to prove that Eredin did not lie when he told you that Avallach had cheated you. You and Yennefer decide to go to the tower located on Undvik, where Avallac'h escaped, and try to stop him.

Eredin's words rang in Geralt's ears. Could Avallac'h truly have betrayed them? Could Ciri still be in danger, even with the Wild Hunt destroyed once and for all? Without a moment to lose and paying no heed to their wounds or exhaustion, Geralt and Yennefer plunged back into the post-battle chaos ravaging Undvik.

Quest stages of Tedd Deireadh, the Final Age

1. Follow Yennefer.

Run after Yennefer, avoid fireballs falling from the sky. After a while you should get to the camp where you will find horses that you can ride.

Follow Yennefer.

Keep following Yennefer to the Abandoned Village and then towards Tor Gvalch'ca. On the way you will pass a whole lot of giants, cyclops and other monsters that have started to get into this world. You must still keep avoiding projectiles falling from the sky.

Follow Yennefer.

When further riding is not possible, you will have to get off your horse and continue on foot. Once you enter an area that is extremely cold, Yennefer will call a protection shield under which you can hide. Go on, keep close to the sorceress and kill two hounds of the Wild Hunt (27) that will stand in your way.

Follow Yennefer.

Near the tower, you will come across a protective barrier created by Avallac'h. Yennefer will be able to create a breach in it, but only you will be able to get inside.

Follow Yennefer.

2. Get to the elven tower.

When you get to the other side of the barrier, go towards the tower and you will soon meet Avallac'h. Geralt will want to fight him but Avallac'h will draw his sword and throw it on the ground.

Get to the elven tower.

A moment later you will realize that Eredin actually lied and Avallac'h did not betray you. Ciri will show up and explain to you that it was her idea to open the gate, as this is the only way she can get inside and face the White Frost.

Get to the elven tower.

No matter what you say, Ciri will step inside and she will be teleported to another dimension.

No matter what you say, Ciri will go inside and she will be teleported to another dimension to face the White Frost.

Get to the elven tower.

What happens there will depend on the decisions you have made in the previous quests. Your choices will be recalled in short flashbacks. Then the "Something Ends, Something Begins" quest will start, which acts as an epilogue of the game.

Get to the elven tower.

It turned out that, while Avallac'h had not been entirely honest with the witcher, he was no traitor. Ciri had slipped off with him during the battle of her volition in order to - and please pardon the grandiosity, dear reader - save the world. She was convinced Geralt would never allow her to embark on this mad endeavor, and so decided she had to operate behind his back. All his promises and threats were for naught - there was no stopping Ciri once she'd made her mind up. The witcher could only watch as she stepped into the elven tower - and hope she would return safe and sound.

After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest Something Ends, Something Begins.
