In Resident Evil Requiem, Antique Coins are small collectible coins hidden throughout the Rhodes Hill Care Center during the early part of the campaign that serves as a currency for unlocking permanent upgrades. You find them scattered in rooms, on tables, inside safes, or by defeating certain enemies. They appear as items you can pick up and they take up inventory slots.
Antique Coins are specifically used to purchase permanent upgrades for Grace Ashcroft. These upgrades are unlocked in a special room called the Parlor, which you access by using a red jewel to open a secret door in the Rhodes Hill Care Center.
Inside the Parlor, you can trade your collected Antique Coins for:
- Hip Pouch - expands Grace's inventory space by +2. Cost: 3 coins.
- Stabilizer - increases weapon handling and firepower. Cost: 4 coins.
- Steroids - boosts Grace's maximum health. Cost: 4 coins.
- Override Manual - raises the Blood Collector's carry capacity by +50. Cost: 6 coins.
This list applies to Casual and Standard difficulty modes. On Insanity difficulty, Antique Coins are found in entirely different locations. In that mode, most of them are obtained as enemy drops while progressing through the Care Center.
