The Grand Lifts, and there are two of them in total, allow you to enter new lands as long as you have acquired the necessary items to operate them.

Grand Lift of Dectus
Once you collect Dectus Medallion (Left) and Dectus Medallion (Right), you will be able to use this lift to travel to the Altus Plateau.
2Grand Lift of Rold
With the Rold Medallion you will be able to use this lift to travel to the Mountaintops of the Giants. Once you collect Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) and Haligtree Secret Medallion (Left), you will be able to use this lift to travel to the Consecrated Snowfield from where you will be able to get to Haligtree.
