Catacombs are one of the dungeon types available in Elden Ring. In each of the dungeons of this type, the main boss is located in a room behind a large and heavy door locked by some contraption.
To open this door and get to the boss, the player must find and pull a lever located somewhere in the depths of the dungeon.

Impaler's CatacombsThe passage to the further part of this dungeon is located under the platform - trap, in the room with the spikes on the ceiling. Step onto it and quickly step off and then the platform will move up and you will be able to drop down below.
Minor Erdtree CatacombsTake the lift down, find the lever and use it. To get to the lowest level and to the boss, return to the lift step on the button to send the lift up, but step off right away. When the lift goes up, you will see that you can jump down through the hole in the floor that was under the lift.
