This Son of Jorvik

This quest begins after completing the "Road to Hamartia" quest. Eivor returns to Faravid to carry on his plan to attack the Picts.

1. Meet Faravid at the Wolds

Go to the place marked on the map, you will find a camp there and a slightly drunk Faravid in it.

Eivor will tell him what Ulf did and what fate befell him and then you will ride to Jorvik. Faravid will suggest that you race to the city gates.

2. Race Faravid to Jorvik

Faravid challenged you to a drunken race. To even the odds, you can drink from a nearby cauldron, but it's not necessary.

Then hop on your horse and ride to the city gates. Race ends at Jorvik's southern gate. Whether you arrive first or not is not important.

3. Reach the Royal Hall

Faravid will inform you that he wants to convince King Ricsige to help you attack the Picts. So head to the Royal Hall.

Before you go inside, Faravid will ask you to keep secret from the king the fact that you have no support from Halfdan.

During the conversation with Ricsige, you will have to decide whether to comply with Faravid's request or tell the truth.

• Halfdan knows. - You will lie that you have Halfdan's support. However, Ricsige will want formal documents to prove it.
• Halfdan does not know. - You will tell the truth that Halfdan knows nothing about your plan. Ricsige will only agree to help when he receives a formal order from Halfdan.

Regardless of which option you chose, after leaving the throne room Eivor and Faravid decide to ask Hjarr to prepare fake Halfdan orders to help you convince Ricsige to help you.

4. Find and speak to Hjorr / Beat up the disgruntled citizens

You will find Hjorr and Ljufvina in front of the alehouse near the river. Your friend got into an argument with the locals and a fight will ensue.

Help your friends defeat their opponents.

After the fight, you will ask Hjorr to prepare fake documents for you. He will agree to do this.

5. Wait for Hjorr / Return to Hjorr

Hjorr will need a small amount of time to prepare the documents. He will wait outside the Royal Hall once he has forged the documents. In order to pass the time you can simply meditate, but you can also approach Ljufvina standing on the dock and talk to her.

Then return to the Royal Hall to collect the document you need from Hjorr.

Eivor will present Halfdan's orders to Ricsige, and the king will agree to send his soldiers into battle. This will end this quest.
