The main story of the game begins seventeen years after the events presented in the prologue, when already an adult Eivor is captured by Kjotve the Cruel and his people. Fortunately, he manages to free himself and avoid the fate of the slave.

You should start by picking some berries to regain HP and create a ration for later.
To find your crew you have to head to Avaldsnes. When you arrive near the settlement you will meet one of your companions, Dag. He will give you a shield and tell you where to find the rest of the crew.
You can get to the settlement premises through one of the holes in the palisade surrounding it. The area inside is patrolled by several warriors, but you can avoid them if you want.
You can enter the building where your companions are trapped through an opening on the roof top.
When you get inside you will have to fight your first duel with the boss. It will be Rikiwulf. This fight is a kind of tutorial in which you will be given the basics of the fight such as the role of stamina, dodging, etc.
After defeating Rikiwulf, Eivor will recover his father's axe - Varin's Axe, and his own armor, set of Raven Clan armor.
When you touch the axe you will see a vision. When you are inside, simply walk towards the mysterious character.
When you get back to reality, open the cage in which your crew is imprisoned and free the prisoner.
Leave the building through the main entrance. Outside you will come across a large group of opponents. You can fight them but it is not necessary.
You can just run to the shore of the lake where the boat is located and get into it and sail away.
It is not necessary, but on the way to your village you can raid a small enemy camp located on Ikke en Oy island.
Eventually you should reach Fornburg.
To complete this quest, talk to Ranvi who is waiting near the harbor.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quests Family Matters, A Seer's Solace.
