Quest Group: Rygjafylke / Battle for the Northern Way
Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest Rude Awakening.
This quest will start automatically after talking to King Harald at the end of the "Rude Awakening" quest. You will automatically move to a place called Florli.
Revenge and glory await behind Kjotve the Cruel's fortress gates.
When you are ready to fight, talk to Sigurd, who you will find on top of the observation tower.
When dusk arrives, the attack on Kjotve's fortress will begin. The battle will start with a duel to the death between you and Kjotve the Cruel.
The fight with Kjotve will consist of three phases. The basis for success in this fight will be to avoid his blows, which are very dangerous and counter-attack. His blows will be announced by a red aura around him. In the first phase Kjotve will fight unarmed.
When you inflict some damage to him, he will get his axes.
At some point Kjotve will charge and you will both land at the bottom of the nearby arena.
Continue the fight and after some time you will strike the final blow.
For a while you will move on to the vision in which Kjotve will eventually die.
Despite his father's death, Gorm will not want to surrender the fortress and you will have to continue the siege.
Gate is locked and its lock is destructible from inside. As soon as your people put a ladder under the walls, climb up the ladder and run to the gate from the other side as quickly as possible
Destroy the locks and then open the gate.
You can get to the upper fortress by jumping from the right side to the back of it.
Then all you have to do is run up to the gate, destroy the lock and open it.
Gorm is holed up in the temple. Run to the temple.
When you do that, the door will slam behind you and Gorm will set fire to the temple and escape.
Quickly climb up the scaffolding...
You will see that Gorm managed to leave the fortress.
To complete this quest, get off the roof and talk to Sigurd.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest Birthrights.
