The easiest way to start this quest is to read the "Fist Fights" notice posted on the Hierarch Square Notice Board in Novigrad.
Geralt found out a series of fistfights was being organized in Novigrad. He had participated in such fights in the past and grown to like the feel of his fist pounding into some lunkhead's skull. He thus decided to take part.

Go to the Golden Sturgeon inn and talk to Master Claytop. You can place a bet: 1 - 80 crowns. Before you start a fight, Claytop will offer you to throw the fight. If you agree to this, after the fight you will receive from him twice what you bet, an additional 80 crowns and 25 XP.
Then you will have to fight Georgius "Piledriver" Georg (15) again and this time you have to win, for which you will get 25 XP.
Find Archibald O'Neill (18) and talk to the bookie. This time you can bet 1 - 50 crowns. If you win, you will receive 25 XP.
Find Iron Mortimer (21) and talk to the bookie. This time you can bet 1 - 95 crowns. 25 XP.
When you defeat all three opponents, you will be able to face the champion of Novigrad.
To earn the right to fight for the Novigrad championship, Geralt first had to defeat three lesser challengers.
Go to Farcorners. Even though you were told the fighting takes place after sunset, Durden the Tailor (24) will be there any time of day, ready to fight. This time you can bet 1 - 120 crowns. After the fight you will receive 75 XP.
Fight after fight Geralt laid low the best Novigrad had to offer. In the end he was declared the city's champion.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest Fists of Fury: Champion of Champions.
