Fieldwork are local activities that are of greater importance and may or may not be related to the main adventure. Performing Fieldwork will yield great rewards, both in adventure points that can be spent to unlock abilities, and local currency that can be used to buy items and books.

Talk to the Priest - There is a priest in the Vatican gardens, near the Fountain of Confession. - Talk to Father Ricci.

- Reach the Tower of Winds - Father Ricci wants help investigating a giant crusader. He has a key to the Casina where he says there are clues. The key is in his office in the Tower of Winds.
- Find Ricci's Casina Key - Father Ricci said he keeps a key to Villa Pia, or the Casina, in his office. - Collect the Ricci's Casina Key.
- Sneak Into the Casina - Pope Paul IV apparently had a secret chamber beneath the Casina, or Villa Pia. With Ricci's key it should be possible to figure out if that's true.

How to start: Bring the parchment to Antonio and then exit the library during the "The Stolen Cat Mummy" adventure.

- Talk to Gina - After the encounter on the balcony, Gina, the journalist posing as a nun, agreed to trade information if it could help her find her missing sister. Talking to her might help shed some more light on the mystery of the stolen cat mummy.

- Follow Gina to the Museum - Giuliana, Gina's contact may have information about the missing cat mummy. Gina was to meet her in the museum, but it's been locked down by the Blackshirts. Something is going on in there.
- Find the Stockroom - Gina said she was going to meet Giuliana in the museum's stockroom.
- Search for Clues x 5 - If Giuliana was abducted from the museum, there might be still be clues to what happened there.
- Continue the Search - There were many clues to be found down here, but there could be more in the next room.
- Go to Borgia Tower - The Blackshirts have taken Giuliana to Borgia Tower for interrogation. Gina has already run ahead.
- Ascend Borgia Tower - The place is being renovated and is in a state of disarray, but there should be a way to ascend the tower and find Giuliana.
- Free Giuliana - The Blackshirts are holding Giuliana for interrogation in a room at the top of Borgia Tower.
Summary: Gina's Vatican contact Giuliana was rescued from the Blackshirts. She had a document showing that the Vatican was spying on the Siwa excavation. That's how they knew about the cat mummy.

Objectives:
- Find the Professor - There's supposed to be a big excavation ongoing in the Vatican at the moment, lead by a British professor. Perhaps he's discovered something connected to this mystery.

- Rescue Sidney - Professor Savage, the man previously in charge of the Vatican excavation, has found an interesting stone fragment. After they were kicked out by the Blackshirts, his apprentice Sidney tried to take the fragment, but got caught and he's now locked inside a holding cell by the Vatican Gardens.
- Get to the Excavation Site - The stone fragment was taken from Sidney by a Blackshirt named Giuseppe. He should be somewhere in the excavation site located in the Apostolic Palace courtyard.
- Find Giuseppe - Giuseppe could be anywhere in the courtyard excavation site. There might be clues to his whereabouts in the foreman's office.
- Find Section F - According to the guard schedule, Giuseppe is currently working in section F of the excavation site.
- Search Giuseppe - Giuseppe said the stone fragment is in "the cellar." Maybe he's carrying a clue to where the cellar is.
- Find the Address - Giuseppe had a key marked with an address on "Via del Pellegrino". That's the alley right next to the Vatican Post Office.
- Find the Stone Fragment - The cellar is full of artifacts stolen from the dig site. Professor Savage's stone fragment must be there somewhere.
- Return the Stone Fragment - Professor Savage will be happy to get the stone fragment back. He should be waiting with Sidney in the library.
Summary: Sidney, Professor Savage's apprentice, has been freed from the Blackshirts. The stolen stone fragment has been returned and is now safe in the hands of the professor. The stone possibly originated from the epitaph on St. Peter's tomb. It referenced the fallen angels and "circuli magni" - the Great Circle.

How to start: Read the Catherine's Letter you can find at the post office.
Reward: 225 Adventure Points
Objectives:
- Find Sister Catherine - There's a Sister Catherine in the Sistine Chapel waiting for a delivery boy from Antonio. It concerns Father Crescenzo, the mad priest who made the map of the secret inscriptions.

Objectives (continued):
- Talk to Antonio - Sister Catherine is waiting for Antonio to send her the diary of Father Crescenzo. Maybe this diary contains some clues about the giants and the inscriptions. You will receive the Sewers Key from him.
- Get to the Sewers - Ventura has confiscated Crescenzo's diary. It's been taken along with other forbidden material to a room in the Apostolic Palace. There's a way inside the palace through the sewers beneath the Tower of Nicholas V.
- Find the Palace Entrance - According to Antonio, there should be a way into the Apostolic Palace from somewhere in the Vatican sewers.
- Find Crescenzo's Diary - The diary should be in the room in the Apostolic Palace, along with a number of other items confiscated by the Blackshirts.
- Give the Diary to Sister Catherine - Sister Catherine is in the Sistine Chapel, waiting for Crescenzo's diary to be delivered to her.
Summary: Crescenzo's diary was found among many other confiscated items in the Apostolic Palace. Whatever secret Crescenzo was chasing in the Vatican clearly drove him mad, making it difficult to judge fact from fiction. The diary is now in the hands of Sister Catherine.
