Fieldwork are local activities that are of greater importance and may or may not be related to the main adventure. Performing Fieldwork will yield great rewards, both in adventure points that can be spent to unlock abilities, and local currency that can be used to buy items and books.

How to start: Talk to Professor Savage.
Reward: 525 Adventure Points + Construction Stele
Objectives:
- Search the Detention Center - Professor Savage said that Sidney's likely held at the detention center in the Nazi Compound.

Objectives (continued):
- Find Sidney in the Digsite - Sidney has been sent to the dig site over by the Funerary Temple of Khafre.
- Search the A1 Tunnel - According to Gantz's journal, Sidney has been put to work in the A1 tunnel. Kid's a real firecracker, but he can't survive in there for long.
- Get Sidney to Safety - Sidney took a fall down a shaft in one of the tunnels. He seems okay, but getting out of here presents a new obstacle.
- Return to Savage - Sidney is out of the collapsed tunnel and has returned to the professor in the village.
Summary: Sidney is back with professor Savage. Kid's got a bright future ahead of himself, if he can stay out of trouble.

How to start: Talk to Gina once you complete the "The Race is On" adventure.

Objectives:
- Explore the Sphinx Dig - Voss men are digging by the Sphinx, searching for the "Sanctuary of the Guardians". It seemed to be of particular importance to him.

Objectives (continued):
- Search for Clues - In the chamber beneath the Sphinx, there is what looks like a big stone door. It is closed, but there must be a way to open it.
- Find the Golden Medallion - The Nazis have found a golden medallion that may be the key to opening the stone door. They took the medallion to the Nazi recreational area.
- Open the Sanctuary Door - Maybe the medallion found in the recreational area could be the key to opening a way into the "Sanctuary of the Guardians".
- Explore the Sanctuary - There could be clues about the Idol of Ra to discover in the Sanctuary. Now is the time to explore it, before Voss and the Nazis start looking into it.
- Retrieve the Gold Mask / Use the Camera for Hints - There's a spectacular gold mask locked into some sort of contraption. There must be some way to unlock it and get the mask out of there.
- Capture a Photograph of Gina - Gina is posing in front of the stone throne with the golden mask. A perfect moment to capture with the camera.
- Find a Way Out - The throne in the mask room was a trap leading straight down into a scorpion-infested chamber.
- Solve the Mirror Puzzle / Use the Camera for Hints - Escaping the scorpion trap lead to a room with a statue, brass mirrors and light beams coming from above.
- Find a Way Out - Solving the mirror puzzle opened a path forward. Perhaps it's the way out of here.
- Exit the Sanctuary - With a bit of work it was possible to get past the scorpions, cross the chasm and reach a ledge above the collapsed hall. Just have to find a way to the upper floor again.
Summary: The Sanctuary of the Guardians contained an amazing gold mask and some clues about who the guardians were. Gina has taken the mask to Dame Nawal so she can give it to the Cairo Museum.

How to start: Talk to Professor Omar.
Reward: 375 Adventure Points
Objectives:
- Find the Queen Mother's Tomb - Omar showed an ostracan saying there is a secret in the tomb of Queen Mother Khentkawes. The Nazis have been excavating the tomb but it's on hold right now, presenting a great opportunity to try finding the secret before the Nazis do.

- Power Up the Elevator - There's an elevator shaft running from the top of the Ziggurat down into its depths.
- Get Down to the Tomb - Enough power has been re-routed to the elevator to make it working again. If there is a secret in the Queen Mother's tomb, now is the chance to go down there and find it.
- Search the Tomb - Maybe there is something to be found in the Queen Mother Khentkawes' tomb.
- Return to Omar - The secret in the Queen Mother's tomb was a stone stele containing a riddle to something hidden beneath the Great Pyramid. Professor Omar will be interested to know this.
Summary: There was a hidden secret in the tomb of Queen Mother Khentkawes - a stone stele with some very interesting carvings.
