Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest The trial of the waters.
To begin this quest, return to the governor's palace in New Sérène after completing The trial of the waters quest. You will find out that Constantin and Catasach went out of town and disappeared.

Go to the Magasvár and find the camp the soldier told you about.
Examine the tents, and empty weapon racks.
Follow the waypoints. Examine the traces found along the way, such as native ritual knife, marks of explosion, corpses, etc.
When you reach your destination, examine the broken rocks, unknow soldier's corpse, vials and Constatnin's sack. Pick up the Patrol's orders from the soldier's corpse and pick up the Vials for native potions.
Travel to Catasach's Abode in Wenshaganaw and talk to Aidan. He won't give you much information except that the vials you found certainly didn't belong to Catasach.
Go to the Bridge Alliance Outpost and talk to Captain Idris. He'll give you some information about the soldiers whose corpses you found, but to find out more, you'll have to convince him.
Go to the Infirmary. The nurse you meet there will inform you that the soldier is unconscious and that if he doesn't receive the medicine, he will probably die. You will offer your help in obtaining the medicine.
You need one Sovereign potion against burns. You can:
Once you have the medicine, take it to the nurse and she'll administer it to the soldier.
Yuo will have to wait 24 hours.
When you come back to the soldier the next day and talk to him, he'll tell you something about what happened on the peak. For example, you'll find out about the mysterious native sorcerer who took Constantin away and the rebels.
Go back to Captain Idris and let him know what you found out. He will thank you for saving his soldier and the quest will be over.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest The dead man's voice.
