Chapter: Chapter 1: Beginnings
Prerequisites: To play this mission, you must first complete the mission The Vanishing.
This mission starts automatically after you reach the Shibuya Central Hospital and enter the building, that is, it is a follow-up to "The Vanishing" mission.
Akito makes his way to the hospital to check on his sister, but finds Shibuya truly is deserted—and worse, overrun with monsters.
He makes use of the powers he has gained as a result of KK's possession in order to fight his way to the hospital.

The room where your sister lies is located on the fourth floor. Turn into the corridor on the right and you will soon come across new enemies.
As indicated on the screen, crouch down, sneak up to the enemy and hit him with "Quick Purge".
When behind an unaware enemy, hit them with a powerful Quick Purge. This will take down most enemies instantly.
Note: At this point, you should have enough XP to reach level 2 (you will get your first 10 skill points) so the game will take you through a quick tutorial on "Synergy Levels". You will be forced to go to the "Ethereal Weaving" tab in the "Skills" menu and activate the "Takehaya I / Charge Attack" spirit skill.
The game will be frozen so you don't have to rush. As instructed on the screen, hold down the appropriate key / button to attack your opponent with a charged attack and then grab its core.
Use the escalator to ascend to the second floor of the hospital. Keep walking down the corridor and at some point you will be attacked by another enemy.
Keep moving until you cross a walkway and arrive at a waiting area. There you should come across three more enemies. Kill them all.
Go through the offices to the corridor on the other side and eliminate the next enemy you come across there. Then keep walking forward until you reach the staircase and climb it to the third floor.
Cross the corridor to the cafeteria and then go through the kitchen. Keep walking and go through the glass door. There you will experience a threatening-looking vision, but it won't pose a threat to you and eventually you will reach the stairs leading to the fourth floor.
Go up to the fourth floor and follow the corridors further. Along the way you will have more visions depicting your sister and fire but eventually you will reach the door of the room where your sister should be. Go inside.
When you enter the room you will be transported to another dimension where you will meet a man with a Hannya mask standing over your sister's bed. He has certain plans for her. Your spiritual friend will also be revealed, and only thanks to him will this meeting not end tragically for you.
When you regain consciousness, you will be back in the hospital room and KK will suggest where you should go next. Go out of the room and use the elevator that will open on the other side of the corridor. Itt will take you down to the first floor.
Proceed to the exit. When you leave the building this mission will end and the next chapter and the next mission - "KK" - will begin.
After completing this mission, you will be able to play the mission KK.
