Quest Group: Mythic Tales
Location: Izuhara
The easiest way to start this quest will be to find musician Yamato in a small camp where he plays for a group of people. However, to be able to do this, you need to push the main storyline of the game a bit forward.
Someone is rallying the suvivors' spirits at a camp. Could be worth a look.
Rumors from townspeople can help mark the position of the musician on the map.
I hear there's a musician in Azamo. He's giving people hope by reciting the tale of Tadayori and his mythic armor.
When possible, you will find musician in a small camp near the Rustling Bend in southern Izuhara. Sit down and listen to his tale about the legendary warrior Tadayori.
The musician told me a story about the legendary warrior Tadayori. It seems he singlehandedly defended Azamo Bay using a suit of armor blessed by the kami.
If this armor still exists, it may be at a place known as the "Violet Crown" north of Azamo.
Ride to the place marked on the map and find a mountain covered with chrysanthemums, which will not be a difficult task.
Get to the top of the Crown of Violets and examine the incense, and then a container that you will find there. Inside the container you will find a map.
Head to the Tadayori's Rest located in Houren's Pasture. The main road leading inside is blocked with large rocks, but you can get there in two other ways.
You can find a hole in the rocks on the south side and crawl through it.
You can also climb down the rocks from the north side.
Find a cemetery and examine the incense at one of the graves and two other tombstones. Then the woman who is the guard of this place will arrive.
The woman will think you're a thief and you'll have to duel with her.
When you defeat her, Kaede, because that's her name, will understand her mistake and apologize to you for having considered you a thief. When you tell her what is the purpose of your visit, she will tell you that the armor is now lost, but in one of the old scrolls she found a clue about where you should continue looking.
Go to the top of a hill north of Azamo Bay. There you'll come across a group of Mongols who have imprisoned musician Yamato. You must kill all the Mongols before they kill Yamato, and they will try to do so as soon as they see you. Therefore, it is best to sneak as close as possible to Yamato, and as soon as one of the Mongols will try to hurt the musician, quickly stop him from doing so.
After all the Mongols are defeated, release Yamato and he will reveal to you where the armor is. All you have to do is take a few steps and get it.
Come up to the statue and move it and you'll get a new armor.
This is an armor designed for archers.
Shortly after you pick up the armor, the hill will be attacked by the Mongols. They will try to come to you and kill Yamato. You must stop them from doing so. Since you have just acquired a new armor for an archer and you have an infinite supply of arrows next to you, then try to eliminate as many of them as possible with a bow, and when some of them manages to reach you, for example those with shields, use your sword.
Once all of the Mongols have been defeated, speak with Yamato to end this tale.
