Quest Group: Ledecestrescire / The Kingmaker's Saga
Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quests Rumors of Ledecestre, The Walls of Templebrough.
You will receive this quest when you complete the "Rumors of Ledecestre" and "The Walls of Templebrough" quests.
Lady Aethelswith has been captured, giving the Danes an unexpected advantage. Now, all Eivor has to do is convince her to give up her husband, the King of Mercia.
Return to Tamworth Fortress and approach your comrades. Sigurd will tell you to try to convince the queen to tell you where her husband is hiding.
Enter the building where the queen and her servants are. You will start talking. At some point Ivarr will also enter the building and what he does will make the queen disgusted.
No matter how you react, you will be able to convince the queen to tell you where her husband is. You will return to your comrades and give them the information you have obtained.
The old crypt is in the south of Ledecestrescire, where the Arwy and Alne rivers join. Travel to Offchurch. The back entrance to the crypt is barred from the inside so you have to get inside through the entrance located in a building in the middle of a well guarded camp. To avoid as many enemies as possible, get close to this building by using the ropes.
Enter the cellars. Go straight and then right. In one of the rooms you will meet a skirmisher who has a key. Kill him, loot the key and then use it to unlock the door leading to the next room.
You will face King Burgred the. The king will attack you and you will have to defeat him in a fistfight.
When you defeat the king, tie him up and carry him out through the back door.
Then load him on the horse standing outside and set off to the brothers.
Try to avoid the soldiers you may encounter along the way. When you get to Venosis, you will meet your comrades there and you will ride to Tamworth Fortress together.
Ride towards the fortress, avoiding soldiers who will try to free the king.
