Quest Group: Oxenefordscire / The Paladin's Stone
Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest Ringing Cyne Belle.
This quest will start automatically when the "Ringing Cyne Belle" quest is completed.
Sigurd and Basim come with Eivor to take Cyne Belle Castle and, at last, look upon the Saga Stone.
Note: You don't have to necessarily complete the "Chipping Away" quest to lead the assault.
Cyne Belle Castle

When you're ready to start the assault, talk to Geadric and select the "Begin the assault." option.
You will automatically move near the castle walls and the siege will begin.
It is best to avoid close combat, just run ahead to the bridge. Avoid areas that are about to be fired upon, and shoot the left and right bridge links to lower the bridge. To do this, you have to approach the drawbridge from the sides, for example, by walking on a rope.
Run through the open gate and climb the castle walls in the place shown in the picture below.
Then enter the rooms on the right. Inside you will come across several opponents. Kill them or let your companions take care of them, and use the mechanism to open the gate.
Go to the inner courtyard. You will find Eadwyn there and the fight against her will begin.
On the battlefield you will not be alone, you can be attacked by one of the soldiers and Eadwyn can focus on someone else for a while. Eadwyn uses a two-handed spear, so she has a long range. She can heal herself, so if you see her drinking a potion, attack her quickly to prevent it. Watch out for mines that she will throw from time to time. You can disarm them by shooting at them from a bow. When you defeat her, the siege will end.
After the fight, Geadric will let you decide what to do with Aedwyn. Your decision will not affect the further part of the game.
Get to the upper floor of the main castle building. There you will find Sigurd, Basim and Fulke studying the stone. Your conversation will be interrupted by Geadric who will inform you that King Aelfred and his soldiers have surrounded the castle. Sigurd will decide to go to meet the king.
As a result of the unexpected turn of events that will take place during the meeting, Sigurd will be made to hand himself over to the king as his hostage. This event will end this quest.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest Reporting on Oxenefordscire.
