Quest Group: Oxenefordscire / The Paladin's Stone
You will be able to start this quest by using the alliance map and selecting Oxenefordscire when it will be possible - you definitely need to complete the quests in Ledecestrescire first.
Sigurd and Basim are in Buckingham hoping to secure an alliance with the rebellious Thegn Geadric. But what else are they searching for?
Note: If you know where to go, you can go directly to the fisherman's hut where Sigurd and Basim are hiding.
Go to Buckingham. There are some soldiers in the village. Sigurd should be waiting for you at the alehouse. You can get to the inn unnoticed by approaching it from the river side and entering it through one of the windows. However, you will not find Sigurd inside.
Talk to the alewife.
Head to the fishing hut located southwest of the alehouse.
When you get inside, you will find Sigurd and Basim there and you will learn from them about the situation in the scire.
Longhouse is located in the northern part of the village. You can simply walk around the whole village and get inside through the door from the northeast side.
Inside you will meet Geadric and Eadwyn. No matter what you say to Eadwyn, what Siegurd says will make Eadwyn not want to talk to you anymore. The fight against her soldiers will start.
Get rid of all your opponents. If you free Geadric, he will help you in battle.
When you kill all your enemies Geadric will tell you where other thegns are kept.
Head to Leah Villa Garrison. When you get there you will see that preparations for the execution are underway. If you do not react quickly enough, the executioner will start killing three thegns on the stage.
For them all to survive, you can, for example, walk over the branches of the tree above the stage and kill the executioner first. When you free the prisoners, they will help you in combat.
Thegn Holt is imprisoned in a cage a little further away.
Together with the survivors, run to a safe place. There Holt will tell you what he knows about Fulke and you will split up. You will be in charge of reporting to Geadric.
Return to Buckingham and talk to Geadric. You tell him what you have achieved and he will ask you for help with destroying Eadwyn's supplies. This quest will end and you will get two new ones - Pilgrimage to St. Albanes and Chipping Away.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quests Pilgrimage to St. Albanes, Chipping Away.
