Farewells and Legacies

This quest begins when you complete quest "Under the Skin".

1. Speak to Vili

Head to Odin's Rest. When you are ready to begin the ceremony then talk to Vili and offer a gift from your clan.

Vili will make a speech to the assembled people, then set the pyre on fire.

If you have not stopped Trygve from intending to follow his Jarl, he will end his life at this point.

After the ceremony, Eivor will ask Sunniva to go to the longhouse and make preparations for the Althing.

2. Return to Sunniva

Go to the long house and tell Sunniva to start the Althing.

If Trygvar died on the pyre along with the Jarl then Vili will automatically be chosen as the next Jarl. If Trygve is still alive then you will have to decide which of them you would see as the next Jarl.

• I see a jarl in you. - Vili will accept your decision, take the throne and become the new Jarl.
• I see Trygve as jarl, and you with me. - Trygve will become the new Jarl and Vili will join your clan.
