This is the first Templar Hunt quest for Antó - the Master Assassin operating in the city of Kingston. Like other Templar Hunt quests, it is unlocked after completing the main quest "This Old Cove". To start it, head to Kingston and talk to Antó.
Edward meets with Master Assassin, Antó, to inform him of the growing Templar threat.
Head to the tavern in Kingston and go inside.
Hint:
Examine the documents - Notice of Dismissal - lying on the table next to two drunk British soldiers. They will tell you where you should go.
Head toward the church. On its west side, you should run into three British soldiers. Approach them slowly from the south, and they will move forward - first heading north.
Follow them quietly while keeping a safe distance behind them. At a certain point, they will turn into an alleyway between two buildings, and shortly after - realizing they might be followed - they will scatter to warn the others. This is scripted and will happen regardless of whether you trailed them properly or not.
If you followed the same path as the soldiers, one of them should run straight into you. Wait for him to approach you and tackle him to trigger a cutscene. If something goes wrong and you get spotted, you simply need to catch up with one of the soldiers when they scatter.
Edward will persuade the soldier to hand over the information he needs, after which this quest will end and the next one will be unlocked - Recruiting Maroons.
