The following legend of Honolulu interactive game map defines the points of interest / markers displayed on the map. Each marker corresponds to a specific element to facilitate efficient navigation and interaction with the map.
Honk-Honk NPCs are special persons who can boost your stats for a fee.
Photo Rally Locations are places that must be photographed to complete an additional activity - Photo Rally - that is unlocked in Chapter 5.
Collecting Soundtrack CDs unlocks more soundtracks. They can then be played using a phone Playlist app that is unlocked through the substory "Radio Active" or on jukeboxes located in hangouts.
Walking through town, you'll find occasions to have one-on-one talks with your friends. You can see where these are on the map and begin them just like a Party Chat. Having a Walk & Talk with someone will fill an entry in their Bond Bingo and deepen your friendship.
Ordering food at Restaurants will recover HP and MP, as well as deepen your bonds with your active party members. Ordering specific menu items together will form a combo meal, which can temporarily grant beneficial effects in battles. Additionally, ordering a combo at certain restaurants may even spur a good Table Talk, further deepening your bonds. The effects of combo meals differ at each restaurant and can stack up to three times - with one stack removed each subsequent battle.
Alo-Happy Tours locations are the places where you can unlock new jobs or assign unlocked jobs to Kasuga and his party members. New jobs can be unlocked via taking tours at the Alo-Happy Tours offices in Hawaii and Isezaki Ijincho. You can change jobs at any of the Alo-Happy Rooms. Alo-Happy Tours offices are also the places where you can receive Photo Rally prizes.
The Keepers of the City will be unlocked at the end of chapter 3 and from then on you can encounter them. They are special enemies with a golden crown icon over their heads and they will hang around until you defeat them.
Safes will begin to appear after unlocking the Keepers of the City in Chapter 3 of the game. To open them you need safe keys. To open the golden locked container you need 3 keys.
Safes will begin to appear after unlocking the Keepers of the City in Chapter 3 of the game. To open them you need safe keys. To open the silver / regular locked container you need 1 key.
Substories are special narratives available in the game. Most of them are optional and a few non-optional ones, related to the main storyline, serve as a way to unlock additional features available in the game.
Briefcases can hold crafting materials as well as weapons, armor, healing items, keys, and more. Loot is random, and briefcases respawn after some time.
Taxi Stands are one of the ways to fast travel around the map. You can take a cab and choose a destination from a list of unlocked taxi stands. You can also open the map, hover the cursor over one of the taxi stand markers and accept your choice to quickly travel to that location.
Items to change the appearance or upgrade your Street Surfer.
You can charge and customize Street Surfers at Oka Chargers. Swing by the next time you pick up any new parts like Oka Paint or Oka Wheels.
Additional Blueprints that allow you to build new items / objects on Dondoko Island, which you can visit starting from Chapter 6. You can find the blueprints in the game world, receive them from specific NPCs, purchase from certain stores, or exchange for minigame tokens.
Hangouts like Revolve are a great spot to chill with your buddies. You can also give them gifts, if you happen to be carrying any. Just remember to give them something that matches their tastes.
