Favorite Flavor - Spicy. Seonhee's got a penchant for cooking spicy food and wants me to try some. I'd say she looked a little too excited...

Favorite Pastime - Crossword puzzles. Zhao's been enjoying a crossword puzzle app. Guess the big prize they're offering is a year's supply of bean sprouts. Not sure that's much of a prize...

Side Hustle - She makes a little extra cash using a flea market app. Saeko sells things she doesn't need anymore on a flea market app, and even haggles the price sometimes. Maybe I'll try it out myself.

Lifestyle - Save, save, save! He uses his toothpaste up to the very last little speck. I've heard of stingy, but this is ridiculous.

Once He Gets Going... - It's hard for him to stop. He once spent 7,000 yen just to complete a capsule machine collection. At least he's a good customer...

Usual Hangout - She often goes to the boxing gym. Didn't take Saeko as much of a boxer. Might be fun to spar sometime soon.

School Days - He read lots of comics as a student. Nanba is a certified nurse. That's no small feat. Still, it's no surprise he snuck some comics into the curriculum, too.

Bad Habit - Orders the same thing whenever he goes out. He always orders the same thing when he goes out. Never hurts to be safe, I guess...

Interestingly Enough... - Playing shogi helps him sort things out. Playing a game of shogi by yourself can be good fun, but I guess, for Nanba, it's more about getting your life together...

Hobby - Fishing. Sakura River's a good place to fish. Reminds me of the time I brawled with that octopus.

School Days - He liked science experiments. Nanba liked to freeze bananas in nitrogen and shatter them to pieces. Talking about it brought back good memories.

Favorite Drama - Any of the old teen dramas. Nanba's take on being a teacher's pretty twisted. If you ask me, he watches too much TV.

Life Hack - White rice with a side of smells. Back when he was homeless, Nanba would get by on smells and rice alone. Guess he'd eat in the park to avoid bothering people.

Likes - Cool glasses cases. Nanba says he's got a thing for stylish glasses cases... Seems he likes puns, too.

Good at Cooking - Japanese curry. He seems to enjoy even week-old curry. Guess so long as it's still "good."

Wants to Try - Taking a trip by train. He says he wants to just hop aboard a train and go, and, when he does, he'd like to take me with him. I'd be honored.

Self-Proclaimed Fact - She's good at mahjong. Saeko boasted about how she always wins at mahjong when there's tequila involved...

Favorite Oden Ingredient - Cabbage rolls. Saeko's favorite oden ingredient is cabbage rolls. Seems oden's changing with the times.

Likes - Umbrellas. Saeko likes the rain because she gets to use a stylish umbrella. The rain usually makes me feel depressed, but that's a nice way to look at it.

Good News - She recently won a pair of sneakers. She won a new pair of sneakers in a sweepstakes and was surprised at how comfortable they are. She's usually in high heels, so I bet it's a nice change.

Favorite Vide Game Genre - fighting games. Saeko casually jumped into fighting games but eventually grew to enjoy them. Now she plays to win, even against her customers.

Hair Type - Curly. Saeko told me she straightens her hair. She then asked if I would ever get a perm...

Back to School - She sometimes wears a school uniform at her club. Saeko and I said it would've been funny if we met back when we were students. She says you can wear your old uniform to her club sometimes.

Favorite Accessory - A sturdy handbag. Saeko's bag is sturdy enough to fend off a knife. Apparently, it's designer, but something tells me the knife-proofing was her idea.

Currently Hooked On - Breadmaking. Saeko sure does get excited about breadmaking. She sounds like the people on those TV shopping networks...

Wants to Learn - Golf tips and tricks. It's good to know the game of golf in Saeko's line of work. Sadly, she's not the best golfer. I'll teach her a couple of tricks next time.

Favorite Animal - Cats. She once went to a cat cafe and got into an awkward situation where some regulars lectured her nonstop... Sounds awful.

Fledgling Footwork - She doesn't know how to dance. Saeko says she doesn't have much experience with dancing. She does seem pretty athletic, though, so with a little practice, I'm sure she'd be great.

Unusual Workout Method - Her heavy cooking pot keeps her arms toned. Saeko says her massive cooking pot helps keep her in-shape. That said, maybe she should just get something smaller...

Personality - Selfless. Might be because she's a leader, but Seonhee always puts others first. Hopefully, she remembers to look after herself from time to time.

Bad Habit - She often spoils Joongi Han. Seonhee was concerned about Joongi Han renting too many DVDs. Seems like they geniunely look out for each other.

Favorite Flower - White clovers. Even among so many, Seonhee sees something unique in each and every flower. Her admiration for them's pretty endearing.

Spends Her Free Time - Watching martial arts competitions. Seonhee says she enjoys watching martial arts competitions on her days off, professional wrestling included.

Wants to Learn - Claw machine techniques. Seonhee wants to get good at claw machines. She seemed pretty serious, so maybe I'll show her the ropes sometime.

Want to Try - Growing her own vegetables. Seonhee's been wanting to add some more plantlife to Geomijul. Maybe someday they'll have their own little farm.

Special Routine - Wrapping gyoza helps her think things through. She likes to wrap gyoza when thinking things through. Let's hope the Geomijul likes eating it...

Bad Habbit - Sometimes sleeps till noon. Seonhee likes early morning radio exercise to keep fit. She still oversleeps sometimes, though.

Surprise Quirk - Gets anxious about her fortune being read. Seonhee said she's the type to get anxious whenever she sees her fortune. Pretty sure her lucky color at the time was pink.

Upcoming Plans - Voice lessons. When I asked her if she wanted to go karaoke some time she said she would start voice training.

Special Skill - Catching goldfish. She's good at catching goldfish. They say no one escapes the Geomijul's clutches... Guess that includes them too.

Favorite Hangout - The fishing pond with Joongi Han. Seonhee often goes to the fishing pond with Joongi Han. Apparently, he gets pretty chatty when he's there.

Life Advice - Contactless payment is king. Contactless payment is pretty handy. Saeko uses 8 different brands, though... I feel like that's defeating the purpose.

Unusual Experience - Once fought a raccoon. Nanba got into a fight with a raccoon while dumpster diving. He said it was suprisingly vicious.

Favorite Sushi - Salmon. Seonhee's favorite type of sushi is salmon, with seared salmon just after that... She sure likes salmon.

Favorite Scenery - Anywhere there's a Ferris wheel. Seonhee likes watching Ferris wheels. Or any ride that goes in a circle, for that matter...

Chronic Illness - He has a perpetually stiff back. When I offered to give him a massage, he outright refused. From what he was asking, I thought I'd be the man for the job...

Dream - He hopes to meet an alien someday. He said he wants to meet an alien someday. What would they even talk about? It's hard to imagine...

Drinking Habit - If he goes down drunk, he's not waking up. I guess if he falls asleep drunk, that's it. Apparently, he's hit the last train stop more than a couple times. Good grief.

Currently Trying - Filling his account book. Nanba says he's saving receipts to file in his household account book. So far, all he's done if make a big stack of receipts...

Weakness - Pushy people. Seonhee's often troubled by pushy people with good intentions. Unfortunatley, Joongi Han's the one suffering for it.

Wants to Visit - A waterfall. Nanba wants to see a big waterfall at some point, so I suggested he bathe under it too. It's always looked pretty fun to me.

Mortal Enemy - Scalpers. Zhao's disappointed that the wok he wanted sold out, says he blames scalpers. They're definitely annoying, that's for sure.

Strives To - Look out for others. Zhao found a four-leaf clover but said he was happy with his life and would rather someone else have it. He's got a surprisingly big heart.

Knows A Lot About - Today's kids magazines. Zhao learned a lot about kids magazines from one of his customer's children.The special prizes that come with these things nowadays are amazing.

Currently Hooked On - Brewing green tea. Zhao's been interested in making green tea. He says he's getting pretty good at it, too.

Strives to Be - Always prepared. Zhao once had a hard time learning the controls to a fighting game. Since then, he's always ready for the real deal.

What's in His Cart? - Bowls from Benten Pawn. Zhao said the bowls he uses in his store are all secondhand. Benten Pawn, which I guess was originally a hoarder's house, seems to be Zhao's favorite.

Special Skill - He has a sharp eye for fresh vegetables. Zhao always thoroughly examines his produce. That may be why the shopkeeper remembers his face...

Struggles With - Online shopping. Whenever he orders something online, it's almost never what he expected. Apparently, he gives most of it to his men.

Motto - "Never waste food." Zhao is a firm believer in never wasting food. Apparently, he once pulled off a triple axel, just to save a meal.

Bad Habit - He tends to keep to only one style. Zhao says he keeps buying glasses with more or less the same design. I know I like to keep to one style.

Kid Zhao - Loved taking pictures. When Zhao was a kid, he thought he'd seen everything there was to be seen. Wonder how he feels as an adult.

Fighting Style - Straight from the kitchen. Zhao's learned a lot from boiling noodles in the kitchen. Who knew it would help out in a fight?

Personality - Competitive. Convenience store pudding is delicious, even to a trained chef like Zhao. He almost seems threatened by it.

Favorite Flower - Roses. Chi-chan told me about all the roses she grew, and it was actually pretty interesting! Definitely have a new appreciation for 'em.

Strives to Be - On top of risk management. Adachi-san's so big on security, he uses different passwords for just about everything. Too bad he forgets most of them.

Surprising Fact - He doesn't like hot food or drinks. Sushi places often serve hot tea to help cleanse your palate. Apparently, Adachi-san just forces it down in one go.

Special Skill - Good with dogs. Adachi-san used to work with police dogs, so he's got a pretty keen sense for what they're feeling. Kinda surprised, honestly.

Way Back When - He used to be thin. Turns out Adachi-san got a little too big for his jacket over the years... It's one of those cool American ones, too, so it's kind of a shame.

Special routine - Stirs natto 500 times. Traveling abroad's made Adachi-san miss Japanese food. So much, in fact, he decided to share his morning routine.

Favorite Pastime - Collecting pennants. Adachi-san and I talked about how older folks tend to see Hawaii as a dream getaway. Heck, thinking about it, I'm practically an old man myself now...

Dislikes - Humidity. Adachi-san says humidity messes up his hair. Apparently, he styles it every morning.

Unique Skill - Knows the special meanings of different flowers. Adachi-san studied the language of flowers to make himself seem more interesting at cabaret clubs. Regardless of the reason, it's always good to learn new things.

Unique Trait - Great with kids. Guess Adachi-san helped a lost kid find his family a while back. He even had dinner at their home. Sounded like a good memory.

Goot At - Setting up a shogi board. Adachi-san gave me the impression he was really good at shogi. Turns out he meant setting up the board... Gimme a break.

Thanks to His Job... - He knows the difficulties of water infiltration. Joongi says swimming in the ocean's nothing compared to swamps and rivers and stuff. He's even had to sneak upstream before! Like a salmon!

Personality - Optimistic. Adachi-san likes to imagine that people are speaking fondly of him whenever he sneezes. Not a bad way to think, honestly.

Unexpected Trivia - Cactus facts. According to Chi-chan, cacti have IQ! Here's hopingl never have to try and outsmart one...

Embarrassing Moment - Once ordered the wrong size. Sizes are way bigger here than in Japan. Guess, when I go back, I won't just have jet lag, but size lag too.

Favorite Food - Honey. Honey's a pretty popular souvenir out in Hawaii. To think macadamias don't always gotta be smothered in chocolate.

Favorite Type of Comics - Comedy. We talked about how nice it is having comics on your phone these days. Turns out we like the same stuff, too!

Hobby - Dancing. Chi-chan likes dancing. Not sure why I agreed to it, but I'm going to teach her an old folk dance one of these days. Lucky me...

Favourite Travel Activity - Group photos. I guess Chi-chan likes to go for a group photo whenever there's a nice view. Definitely a nice way to remember the trip!

Likes - Local media. Chi-chan likes perusing local radio and newspapers on her travels. Nice change of pace from the ol' souvenir shop, I guess.

Favorite Snack - Old-fashioned Japanese candies. Chi-chan likes classic Japanese candies, but she's never found a store that sells 'em. Thinkin' we might have to change that soon!

Special Skill - Yo-yo. Turns out Chi-chan's pretty good with a yo-yo, and she even told me about this funky technique she knows. Something about landing on the moon?

Something She's Never Done - Make a paper cup phone. Chi-chan's never played with paper-cup phones before. I should make some for us someday.

Obsessed With - Music. I've always liked music now and again, but Chi-chan's crazy about it. Guess, to her, it's a real rabbit hole.

Favorite Cosmetic - Coconut oil. Chi-chan says coconut oil's great for your skin. Supposedly, it keeps old geezers like me looking sharp, too.

Unlocks in Chapter 11. Struggles With - Tongue twisters. We talked about wishing on shooting stars at the park. Chi-chan's wish is to get good at tongue-twisters, but she says she's gotta practice first...

Enjoys Watching - Coffee brewing. She likes watching coffee brew. That's kinda sophisticated, honestly. Maybe I'll pay closer attention to the barista from now on.

Pet - He used to raise chickens. Adachi-san says he used to raise dyed chicks from temple fairs. Before long, they'd be his own personal alarm clocks.

Financial Situation - Souvenirs are a business expense. Joongi says the Geomijul consider souvenirs "business expenses," so he's looking for the best deal on macadamia nuts.

Unlocks in Chapter 4. Hobby - Tomi seems like he's good at working with what he's got. Said his next project would be a wood carved bear, just for me! Sweet!

Favorite Website - Anything about real estate. She likes scoping out floor plans of different places and imagining what it would be like to live there. Rent might be high, but imagination's always free!

Bad Habit - Big impulse buyer. Dragon fruits do look and sound pretty cool, I guess. Figures he'd buy one without knowing how to eat it.

Knows a Lot About - Cars. Sounds like convertibles aren't always fun on a hot day. Apparently, white hair doesn't help beat the heat much either.

Likes - American comics. Joongi's got a thing forAmerican comics. Apparently, one of their most popular series has over 500 volumes! That's crazy!

Unlocks after you buy new clothes for Joongi.

Unique Trait - Prone to cold sores. Joongi's prone to cold sores, but he says some good eats'll usually clear it right up. Never took him for a big eater.

Embarrassing Moment - He once failed to return a DVD. He forgot to return a DVD before he left for Hawaii. Bummer about the late fees... Happens to the best of us, pal!

Mantra - "Trainhard, train often." Training is everything to Joongi. Just seeing a chicken got him thinking about his diet and workout routine. Now that's dedication.

Self-Proclaimed Fact - Animals love him. He thought a parrot flew over to him because it liked him, but it was really just part ofa scam. You'd think he woulda picked up on that.

At night, Chapter 14. Special Routine - Sleeps to the sound of waves. Lots of people find the sound of waves relaxing. Guess Joongi likes to fall asleep to it.

Current Mission - Acquire souvenirs for Seonhee. He said he lost the list Seonhee gave him. Sounded like the kinda stuff you'd get on a field trip.

Insecure About - Pimples. Joongi was bummed out about a pimple on his face. He said he would be on a vitamins only diet from now on. Wonder if he's gonna be okay?

Currently Hooked On - Cooking. Joongi's taken up cooking to keep himself in shape. Even gathering ingredients gets him excited these days.

Special Skill - Mental math. Joongi's good at mental math, even with decimals. Shame he isn't travel-sized-he'd be a huge help with the dollars and cents stuff out here.

At night, Chapter 14. Looks Forward To - Yearly festivities. Joongi Han gets a big kick out of holiday events and stuff. I can get behind that. Maybe we'll all go stargazing together sometime.

At night, Chapter 14. Hopes to Settle Down - Someplace dark. Joongi feels a strong sense of calm in dark places, late at night. Could've fooled me-he's been having a great time at the beach lately.

Unusual Skill - Building things out of sand. Guess he's real good at building sandcastles and what have you. Wonder where he picked that up?

Special Routine - Guess Tomi relies on energy drinks to keep himself going. Weirdly enough, they don't work if he sticks to the same flavor too long.

For the Ladies - He used to surf. Adachi-san says he took up surfing to pick up girls. Anything for the ladies, I guess.

Unlocks in Chapter 4. Likes - Tomi's been wanting to go to a music festival, but they keep getting canceled 'cause of the weather. I should teach him how to make a teru teru bozu.

Past Bummer - His rare telephone cards were wasted. Adachi-san used to collect rare telephone cards. Not really much need for 'em anymore, sadly.

Favorite Shave Ice Flavor - Blue Hawaii. Adachi-san associates the color blue with Hawaii thanks to the flavor Blue Hawaii. One look at the view out here, and I don't blame him.

Coming Clean - Tomi used to draw all over his textbooks. I was a big doodler myself, but, man, he's on another level...

Casual Interest - Tomi likes to draw pictures for fun. He even says he'll draw something of me sometime. Let's hope I look good...

Favorite Food - Tomi's got a thing for movie theater hot dogs. Not sure if that's the best reason to go to the movies, though...

When He Can't Sleep... - Tomizawa says he reads Special Theory of Relativity through Quantum Mechanics whenever he can't fall asleep.

Thanks to His Job... - Tomi picks people up from pastry shops pretty often. As a result, he knows the location of just about every one.

Obsessed With - Tomi's got a pretty customized coffee order. Can't say it's how I take mine, but to each their own.

Aspiration - Tomi dreams of running a laid-back coffee shop by the beach. In fact, he's already got me lined-up for a job. I can roll with that.

Unlocks in Chapter 4. Dream - Tomi wants a big car to cruise around in one day. Be fun to go on a camping trip with everyone.

Childhood Memory - Tomi says he played a lot of Mega Drive as a kid. Here in the States, they call it a Genesis.

Favorite Pastime - Tomi likes Darts so much, he's got his own personal set. Only thing is, he's too scared of breaking them to actually bring 'em out.

Unlocks in Chapter 4. Job - I actually kinda forget Tomi's still a taxi driver. He's taught me all sorts of things about cabbie life out here.

Personality - I guess any time Tomi sees a live chicken, chicken's off the menu for a bit. Who knew he was so sensitive?

Kid Tomi - Guess kid Tomi always had some kind of bump or bruise from messin' around all the time. No wonder we get along so well.
