Prerequisites: To play this tale, you must first complete the tale The Broken Blacksmith.
This tale will be unlocked when you complete "The Broken Blacksmith" tale and Yuna's brother is set free. By completing this tale, you will liberate the Komatsu Forge village.
Yuna's brother is finally safe, but we had to split up after our escape. I should make sure they reached the town of Komatsu Forge. If Taka's had time to recover, he may be able to make me a tool to climb the walls of my uncle's prison at Castle Kaneda.

Go to the village. When you get there, you'll find Yuna fighting the Mongols. Help her to get rid of them.
Then talk to her and you will find out from her that the village was attacked by the Mongols and Taka and the other villagers have taken refuge in the forge. Follow Yuna to the forge. On the way you will take another woman hiding in one of the houses with you.
Once you get to the forge, you'll ask Taka to create something for you to help you get to Castle Kaneda quietly. He'll agree, but he'll tell you that he needs his assistant to do it. You will agree to look for him.
I caught up to Yuma and Taka in Komatsu Forge, only to discover Mongols raiding the town. I need to drive them back and save the people of Komatsu. It's time we fight back.
Yukio is being held upstairs in one of the nearby houses. Sneak in there and discretely get rid of the Mongols who are guarding him because if they see you they will try to kill the hostages.
When it's safe, talk to Yukio. He'll ask you to save his sister and wife who should be somewhere near the river.
Go towards the river and locating Yukio's wife shouldn't be difficult. Kill the Mongols attacking her and talk to her.
Head back to the forge. Try to stay hidden and fight only as a last resort because if you are spotted, the Mongols will try to kill the peasants and if they succeed, the mission will end in failure.
When you get to the forge, ask Taka where Yuna is. He will tell you that she went to save a certain family.
You'll find Yuna near the river, watching the house on the opposite bank.
Bearing in mind that the Mongols will try to kill the hostages when they see you,get into the house and release the hostages.
Again, trying to avoid contact with the Mongols, take the peasants to the forge.
When you reach the forge, you will tell Taka to light a fire in the hearth and thus lure the Mongols to you. After a while the Mongols will arrive and the defense of the forge will begin.
The Mongols will attack mainly from the front but you have to remember that the forge doesn't have one entrance and they can get inside from the side. You cannot let your opponents kill any of the villagers hiding in the forge. The last wave will be the Mongolian leader and two archers. It is best to get rid of the archers first and then take care of the leader.
When you defeat all your opponents, Yuna will make a fiery speech about you and the quest will be over.
