Quest Group: Tales of Tsushima
Location: Kamiagata
To start this tale, find a peasant crying at the corpse hanging from a tree.
Someone was hanged by the road. I should find out who is responsible and why they did it.
Talk to the man and he will tell you who the hangman is and what happened here. You will decide to save another son, who was taken away by the Mongols.
Another family torn apart. This time, a father forced to choose which of his sons would face death. The Mongols executed one before his eyes, then took the surviving son prisoner. I won't let the cruel dogs get far.
You will find footprints on the road nearby. Follow them.
Cross the bridge and then turn right at the crossroads. Follow the road until you reach the farm occupied by a group of Mongols. Chuta is kept in the main building.
Get rid of all the Mongols and then set Chuta free. He will then tell you what really happened on their family farm and he won't be willing to go back there.
Go back to where you talked to the grieving father. You won't find him there. Find and read the letter lying on the trunk near the tree with the hangman.
Chuta, I hope you one day forgive me for the choice I made.
Follow the footprints to the bank of the river. Father could not stand what happened. This is the end of this sad tale.
