After the first use of each of the hot springs, your maximum health will increase by a minor amount. There are 18 hot springs spread across the island - 9 of them are in Izuhara, 6 are in Toyotama and 3 are in Kamiagata.
When you rest in all 18 hot springs, you will get a new outfit - Fundoshi (Running and sprinting no longer create noise).
