Quest Group: Lincolnscire / The Lay of Hunwald
Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest A Noble Escort.
This quest starts right after completing the quest "A Noble Escort". Eivor's task will be to escort Hunwald to his home in Lincoln.
Hunwald asks Eivor to accompany him to Lincoln so that he may reunite with his father.

You just have to get together with Hunwald to Lincoln and then enter the city and reach his house. You can just call your horse, allow Hunwald to hop on it, and then ride to Lincoln.
If you want, you can also use a boat or even run there.
Most gates leading into the city are manned with guards. While Hunwald can't climb city walls, he also won't alert guards with his presence when he's following you and you're sneaking around. You can simply kill the soldiers guarding one of the gates, but if you want to get into the city in a discreet way, you can also use the unguarded gate in the northeast corner of the city and then sneak through the city while avoiding soldiers.
To make the task of killing the soldiers guarding a gate easier, you can choose a gate where something heavy is hanging above the guards. It could be the gate near the river. Shoot the net that is hanging above one of the guards and it will fall on him and kill him. Then you can sneak up to the second guard while he is busy checking on what happened to his partner and assassinate him or just move on.
In front of the entrance to Hunwald's house you will come across some guards but you can avoid them by jumping over the balustrade.
Inside the house you will meet Raeganhere, he will inform you that Humwald's father was taken and that you should look for him in the town hall.
Unlock the side door and go outside this way. The town hall is located in the northern part of the city. Walk towards the town hall keeping to the left and you will avoid all the soldiers this way.
The entrance gate to the area surrounding the town hall is guarded by soldiers. You can bypass them by climbing the walls (then Humwald will walk through the gate without being bothered by the soldiers) or by blending in with the monks passing through the gate (just wait for them).
Note: By blending in with the monks you will complete the "Not the Norse You're Looking For" achievement.

Successfully pass close to a guard in a distrust area by blending with a group of monks.
Inside the town hall you will meet Herefrith and Acha. Herefrith will not look happy about Hunwald's return and will tell you that his father is gone and no one knows his current whereabouts.
Acha will tell you where his father was last seen and you will decide to go there. This will end this quest.
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest In the Absence of an Ealdorman.
