Quest Group: Glowecestrescire / A Tale of Wicker-Fire
Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest The First Night of Samhain.
This quest is a continuation of what happened in quest "The First Night of Samhain". Still drunk, you wake up in Tewdwr's house and notice that something bad has happened here.
Framed for a brutal attack, Eivor must find out what happened to Tewdwr after his bloody disappearance.
In total, you must examine five traces. In the first room, examine the corpse, the broken pot and the blood stain.
Then move the rack blocking the passage to the next room (pull towards you and then to the side) and examine the muddy footprints near the door.
Then destroy the jugs standing against the wall and pick up the Gwilim's pouch that was underneath them. In the pouch you will find some strange herbs. After reviewing what you found, you will come to the conclusion that you should talk to Modron.
When you leave the house you will come across Cynon and his soldiers. He will accuse you of what happened and then order his soldiers to kill you. Cynon will leave and you will have to kill his soldiers.
Modron works as a healer near the river separating Glowecestre. You will find her and her daughter on a small hill in the area marked in the picture below.
You will learn from them that in order to find out more about the herbs you found, you should talk to druid Halewyn.
Hints:
The house where the druid lives - Druid's Cottage, is located in the place shown in the picture below.
Walk up to the door and knock. The druid will not want to talk to you until you cloak yourself as Mari Lwyd.
So disguise yourself and knock again. Then the druid will come out of his hut and ask you to help him prepare for the ritual.
The ritual requires fire, so simply set fire to the five straw dummies you find near his hut. You can use torches or fire arrows to do this.
Then approach the druid and he will ask you a question that you will not know the answer to.
You need to know the answers to three questions the druid will ask you. They will be random from six possible. Clues can be found in and near Halewyn's cottage. Two clues can be found inside the cottage...
...another three just outside the hut...
or under it.
The last one can be found in the middle of the nearby pond.
When you have read all the clues then go back to the druid and talk to him again. You don't have to worry about remembering the riddle clues, the correct answer will always be the only option. After answering all the questions, Eivor will ask the druid about the herbs and the druid will give him another clue where to continue the search. This quest will be completed and you will receive the new one - "The Stolen King".
After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quest The Stolen King.
