The Frankish nobles are three siblings who are holding a grudge against the Vikings. You will have to duel them to the death. Once you defeat each of them, don't forget to confirm the kill. The power level of each of them scales relative to your level (is higher).
A family of Frankish Nobles have taken to the countryside. Each a capable warrior, they try to repel the Norse invaders in their own way.

As an aside, I worry for our brother Herbert. I fear that the juice of vengeance has addled his mind, for he has taken too keen an interest in the company of dumb farm animals of late. He was always rather dim, but this is stupid even for him.

Greetings, Brother! I hope this letter reaches you in good fortune! I, myself, have found favor amongst the admiring residents here. They crowd the arena I stand upon at Coteaux de la Seine, waiting only to cheer my name when I am victorious over a Northern invader!
In the meantime, they busy themselves with provender.
Alas, not one has come yet to find me, though they must surely have heard talk of me - Herbert du Lilibonne, Adored by Many, Feared and Fabled Scourge of Northerners! I made sure to yell my name at every tavern, boasting of my undeniable skill. I also sent letters to the Northerner camps, though I am doubtful they know letters, such is the dimness of their heathen minds.
When the first Northern fool comes to challenge, I will write again with detail of each victorious blow!
