While walking around Novigrad, you can be called over by some Bandits. They'll ask you to help them find one of their comrades.

After Geralt and Triss raided their outpost and killed Menge, the witch hunters decided to exact revenge on mages and freaks of all kinds. The city swarmed with armed units searching for anyone with slightly pointy ears or a whiff of the occult about them.

1. Track the smell of blood and sewer muck using your Witcher Senses.

2. Follow the missing man's trail using your Witcher Senses.

Follow the streets of the city and you will finally reach a wounded witch hunter. It will turn out that it was him and not their comrade that the bandits were looking for, because they wanted to take revenge on him for burning their fisstech.

Bandits will tell you to bugger off and you will have to decide whether to go away, which will end this quest, or to take the side of the hunter.

  • Do what you will. - You'll walk away. The quest will end.
  • Hands off. - You'll take the witch hunter's side and you' ll have to kill the bandits.

3. (Optional) Kill the bandits.

If you take the witch hunter's side, you'll have to kill three bandits (14). After the fight, the witch hunter, which is seriously injured, will ask you to take him to a medic. You can refuse and leave him to die or agree to help him. In the second case, you will automatically move to the Vilmerius Hospital and after that this quest will be over.
