When you return to Keira after completing A Towerful of Mice quest, she will ask you for another favor. This time she will ask you to find the magic ingredients that a certain merchant was supposed to deliver to her and which were lost somewhere on the way.
When the devil cannot go himself, he sends a woman - and when a sorceress is indisposed, she sends a witcher to do her errands. That, at least, was Keira Metz's approach. Finding herself in a bit of a pinch, she asked Geralt for yet another favor. This time she needed him to track down a merchant's wagon which had been carrying some rare magic ingredients her way. It had never arrived, and she had begun to fear the worst.

Quest stages of A Favor for a Friend
1. Find the ingredients from the missing transport using your Witcher Senses.
Go to the place marked on the map and find the tracks of the wagon that turned from the road into the forest. Follow these tracks and you will find the damaged merchant wagon.
Pick up the Package for Keira that's on the ground next to the wagon.
2. Bring the ingredients to Keira. / Meet Keira when you have some time.
Take the recovered goods back to Keira. She will be happy and have a surprise for you. You can see what she wants to show you right away, or come back to her a little later.
When you're ready, Keira will offer you a horse ride and a romantic dinner together. You can accept or reject her offer.
If you refuse her, the quest will end here in failure.
It turned out these ingredients, while indeed rare, had nothing to do with magic. They were simply delicacies, treats which Keira, accustomed to the finer things in life, pined for in her Velen exile. Though she offered to share these delights with Geralt, the witcher refused. Experience had taught him sorceresses never do anything without an ulterior motive.
3. Race Keira to the meadow.
If you accepted the sorceress's proposal, then you must ride to the place where you will spend the night. You don't have to stick to a defined path, you can take a shortcut. If you reach the destination first, then you will receive some XP.
When you get there, you will sit at the table and together enjoy the "substances" that you have recovered. One of the topics you will talk about will be the research that the mage Alexander worked on on the Fyke Isle.
At some point Keira will offer you to make another step in your relationship. You can take her offer or refuse. If you reject Keira's offer, then you will spend the rest of the night lying on the beach watching the stars together. At the end, Keira will put you to sleep with a spell and when you wake up, she will be gone and you will automatically receive the For the Advancement of Learning quest.

When he awoke, he was unsure exactly what the sorceress was playing at, but he suspected it had something to do with the tower on Fyke Isle - she had asked him many probing questions about it while they dined...
4. Find Keira using your Witcher Senses.
If you choose to have sex with Keira, you must first find her. Use your witch's senses to find the scent of Keira and follow it until you reach the shore of the lake.
Keira and Geralt will have sex and then gaze at the stars together.
At the end, Keira will put you to sleep with a spell and when you wake up, she will be gone and you will automatically receive the For the Advancement of Learning quest.
