This quest will start automatically if you have at least one time segment left before dusk after completing the "Withering Away" main quest.

We trained and my father finally spilled the beans. There's talk of rebelling against the vrakhiri. My father is on the fence about joining... But he'll have to commit one way or another soon.

If you were busy with something else and dusk fell before you could practice with your father.

In the end we didn't have the time to cross blades - Father wasn't pleased.
