You will be able to begin this mission shortly after the Preaching Forgiveness as He went mission has been completed. To do this, talk to Bill, whom you will find in your camp at Clemens Point.
You, Bill, Karen and Lenny are going to rob a bank in Valentine together.
With the heat in Valentine having died down, Bill thinks it's finally time to hit the bank. Karen causes a distraction while Arthur handles the vaults.
Gold Medal Checklist

1. Follow Bill to Valentine
Before you go on the road, Leopold Strauss will come up to you and ask you to recover the rest of the money from the family of one of his debtors who died. This debtor is Thomas Downes, whom you visited during the Money Lending and Other Sins I - III mission.
Then, together with Bill, Karen and Lenny, ride to Valentine. When you arrive in town, you will leave your horses near the gunsmith.
2. Follow the gang to the bank / Pick Karen's routine
Approach the bank with the others and choose which role Karen should play to distract the guards - lost girl or drunken harlot. If you choose none, Karen will pick one after a while.
3. Approach the bank door / Wait for Karen's signal / Enter the bank
Approach the front door of the bank, wait for the signal from Karen and enter the bank when possible.
4. Open the teller's door / Force the teller to open the vault
Lenny and Karen will get the keys and unlock the door leading to the vault room. Karen will tell you to go inside and take care of the vault.
Go inside. Arthur will push the bank clerk towards the entrance to the vault and order him to open it. Point the gun at him then he will begin to unlock the vault. You can hit him, but it is not necessary. After a while the vault will be opened.
5. Blow up safes / Crack open the safes
There are five lockers inside. You have to open them all in order to complete one of the requirements for a gold medal. You can use dynamite to open them or find the right safe combinations.
If you use dynamite, the sound of an explosions will cause that when you want to leave the bank, several law enforcement officers will be waiting for you on the street and a shooting will start.
If you do it quietly by cracking the combinations and do it fast enough, then you will be able to leave the bank unnoticed, and the chase after you will begin when you are at the end of the street relatively close to your horses. You'll be able to get on your horses and start running.
The combination for each of the safes consists of three digits and each of them is found in the same way.
- Slowly rotate the safe dial couterclockwise to crack the first number.
- Slowly rotate the safe dial clockwise to crack the second number.
- Slowly rotate the safe dial couterclockwise to crack the third number.
Note: As you rotate the safe dial, rotation will slow down the closer you are to the correct safe number.
When you open the safe, don't forget to take the valuables in it. If you take away the contents of all safes, your share at the end of the mission will be $2500.
6. Regroup with Bill, Karen and Lenny / Fight your way out of Valentine (Optional) / Go to the horses
Leave the vault and go to the bank exit. If you have chosen a quiet way to open the safes and did it fast enough, then you will be able to go out onto the street and get close to your horses. Then somebody will finally realize that you robbed a bank. But you will quickly get on the horses and start running away.
If you have blown up the safes or it took you too long to open the safes, law enforcement officers will be waiting for you in the street and before you can get on the horses and start running, you'll have to shoot some of them.
7. Escape the law with Bill, Karen and Lenny
You'll get on your horses and start running south towards your camp.
Opponents will be coming in stages, two or three at a time, from different sides. If you want to earn a gold medal, you have to shoot five mounted enemies in the head. You also have to keep your accuracy high enough, so you should use Dead Eye to mitigate the negative effects of you and your targets moving on horseback.
After some time you will reach the railway tracks. You and your friends will be able to pass before the approaching train, which will separate you from the law enforcement officers chasing you and thus end the pursuit.
When you manage to escape from the chase, Arthur will divide the stolen cache. Bill, Karen and Lenny will return to the camp and you will go to the Downes Ranch to do what Strauss has asked you to do, collect the rest of the debt from the Downes family.
8. Ride to Downes Ranch
To meet one of the requirements to get a gold medal you need to get to the Downes Ranch within 1 minute 55 seconds.
When you get to the ranch, talk to the widow Downes and her son and collect the money they owe Strauss.
When you get your money back, Arthur will automatically return to the camp and the mission will be completed.
After completing Sodom? Back to Gomorrah you will get or will be able to get Blessed are the Peacemakers (1 of 2).
