1. Meet the Thélème governor and ask about the malichor

Go to San Matheus. In the square in front of the governor's palace, you will encounter Inquisitor Aloysius. You have to convince him to let you go through and enter the palace.

You have the following options:

• (Charisma check, 25% - 100%) You can try to convince him that he should not disturb the emissary.
• You can confirm your faith and answer his questions. The correct answers are: "Matheus" and "The Magic of Light".
• The last solution is to defeat him in combat.

Note: If Síora is in your team, you will have to fight him despite giving the correct answers.

If you can convince him, Theleme reputation will increase (+1). If you had to fight him, reputation will decrease (-1).

When you enter the Governor's Palace, Petrus will come to you. He wants to join your party.

Together you will go to Mother Cardinal Cornelia.

2. Meet the Bridge Alliance governor and ask about the malichor

Go to the Region of Hikmet, enter the Governor's Palace and talk to Governor Burhan. If you don't want to travel on foot, one of the caravans will take you there for ten gold coins.

During this conversation you will receive a new side quest - Attacks on caravans.

3. Talk to Constantin about the two nations' leads about the malichor

Return to constantin and report the encounters with the governors.

You will tell him that The Bridge Alliance believes that a remedy could possibly be found by studying the local flora, and that The Mother Cardinal believes the Malichor is the result of a curse cast by a demon, an evil creature worshipped by a "cult" of island natives.
