Location: Toyotama
Prerequisites: To play this tale, you must first complete the tale A New Horizon.
This tale will appear in your journal automatically when you complete "A New Horizon" main tale.
I haven't been home since the invasion. It's time I return to Omi Village and recover my father's armor, if it hasn't been stolen by Mongols or bandits already.
I hope my people managed to evacuate for safety. Especially Yuriko, my family's caretaker.
Travel to Omi Village in Toyotama. When you get there, go to your family estate located in the north part of the village.
Enter the house. The place where the armor should be will be empty, but after a while you'll hear why.
Your family's caretaker, Yuriko, will come into the house and inform you that she has hidden your father's armor in a safe place.
I returned home to recover the armor of clan Sakai, but that's not all I found. My caretaker Yuriko was thankfully alive and well, and looking after the Sakai estate in my absence.
Follow Yuriko. You will go to the cemetery because Yuriko wants Taichi, who is there, to help her fetch the armor. They will go to get the armor, and you'll have some time to visit your father's grave.
Go to your father's grave and compose a haiku there.
Get back to the house. The armor will be waiting for you there. When you put on your new armor, you'll walk out of the house and start talking with Yuriko. Your conversation will be interrupted by the arrival of three Straw Hat ronin.
Sakai Clan Armor
While wearing this armor, Standoff Streak increases by 1 and Standoff wins occasionally Terrify enemies.
This is the first chance to test your new armor and its "bonus". Challenge the ronin. If you're too slow, something goes wrong, and the like, you'll just have to kill them in the "regular" way.
Go back to Yuriko. She'll be a little shaken up, so you'll decide to go to the lake where she can catch her breath. Go with her to the big tree near the lake. You'll ask her if she can prepare poisons that can kill a man, and you'll share with her your plan to use a blowgun and poisoned darts to kill the invaders. Yuriko will agree to help you and tell you where you can find the reeds which you can use to make a blowgun.
Swim to the other side of the lake, where the old fisherman's house is located, and kill the bandits you run into there.
The collect the reeds growing on the shore.
Go back to Yuriko, who will still be waiting for you near her favorite tree. Together you will ride to her camp in the forest where she collects flowers and herbs for ointments, to prepare the poison there.
When you get to the camp, you'll have to gather three flowers needed to make the poison. All three grow nearby so you won't have any problem with that.
When you pick all the flowers, take them to Yuriko and she will prepare the poison. You will be able to test your new weapon on the three ronin that will appear nearby searching for Yuriko's camp.
Shoot one of the ronin, the other two will escape.
Return to Yuriko. She will decide to stay a bit longer in the camp to recall what ingredients are needed to prepare another types of poison, and this will end this tale.
After completing this tale, you will be able to play the tales The Proud Do Not Endure, A Reckoning in Blood.
