Sakai Clan Banners are a type of collectible found throughout the Iki Island expansion in Ghost of Tsushima. These banners represent the legacy of Jin's father, Lord Kazumasa Sakai. There are 30 Sakai Clan Banners in total. Finding and collecting them serves as a way to unlock new cosmetic rewards for Jin's horse.
The Sakai Clan Banners are used to purchase new colours for the Sakai Horse Armor, which are unlocked in a specific order for every six banners you bring to Tsubaki - Sakai Banner Dye Merchant.
Sakai Clan Banners do not appear on the map by default. It's best to change into the Traveler's Attire to help you find any that are missing. After completing finding your first banner, you will also be able to select the Guiding Wind for Sakai Banners that will help you find any remaining banners you may have missed.
Once proud banners of the Sakai Clan, years and weather have taken their toll. The locals planted these banners to remember victories against the samurai.
