Prerequisites: To play this quest, you must first complete the quest Reaver of the South.

This quest begins as soon as you complete the "Reaver of the South" quest, when you decide that you should get one of the Saxon camps, and create your new base there.

Quest stages of Arrive Unexpected

1. Regroup with Stowe

When you arrive at the place south of the Forward Camp, where your friends are waiting for you, Stowe will offer you that he will try to convince the soldiers stationed in the camp to leave it. You will have the following options:

• We will try it your way, Stowe. - Stowe will try to convince the soldiers, some will listen to him and walk away but some will attack you.
• We would lose the element of surprise. - You will begin a direct attack on the camp.
• I will go in alone. - You can try to kill as many soldiers as possible quietly. When you are detected, your allies will join you.

2. Secure the Saxon camp

No matter which option you choose, you will have to get rid of all the soldiers who stay in the camp. When you do this, this quest will end and you will receive three new ones - Let Them Eat Ashes, Scorched Earth, and Severing the Lines.

After completing this quest, you will be able to play the quests Let Them Eat Ashes, Scorched Earth, Severing the Lines.
