To begin Pay the Ferryman you must first complete Guardian of the Gates.
Objectives of Pay the Ferryman
1. Talk to Charon
Go to the dock. When you get there, Charon's boat will arrive.
- Hades sent me.
- You're not what I expected.

Charon will tell you about the magic armor. Having it will give you access to certain places. He will also give you some clues where you can find its parts.
2. Quest Completed

After completing Pay the Ferryman you will get or will be able to get Beyond the Veil, Lost, but Not Forgotten, A New Lease on Death, Death Before Dishonor and I Don't Belong Here.
