In order to receive this quest, you must complete the Pay the Ferryman quest and then talk to Charon again, who will be waiting for you in the new place.
Alexios agreed to help Charon by granting peace to some of the lost souls in the underworld. His first target was a soldier who wanted a glorious death in combat - one he never got in life.

To begin Death Before Dishonor you must first complete Pay the Ferryman.
Objectives of Death Before Dishonor
1. Recover the soldier's Sword of Fate
Hints:
- Swordfish can be tracked using the Fallen Menu
Find and kill Swordfish of Octopus Bay. He'll drop the sword you're looking for.
2. Recover the soldier's Armor of Courage
Hints:
- The soldier's courage lies in the Restless Nekropolis, in the southwestern area of the Chasm of Torment
The armor you are looking for can be found in one of the chests in the tomb.
3. Return the gear to the Athenian soldier
Go to the soldier and give him the armor and the weapon you found.
Choice #1
- I'm not dead.
- I've been sent to help you.
Choice #2
- (lie) Athens is safe and sound.
- Athens was ravaged by plague.
In order to end the soldier's suffering, you must yet defeat him in an honorable fight.
4. Quest Completed
Rewards: Legendary XP, Lost Soldier's Helmet (Epic Head)
After completing Death Before Dishonor you will get or will be able to get A Cursed Sickness.
