Master of the Arena Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Quest
Suggested level: 14
Group: Secondary Quests
Location: Skellige
To start this quest, go to the village of Hov on the island of Spikeroog and talk to Lydrik, who you will find near the arena. You will also receive this quest when you talk to the bookie during the "Fists of Fury: Champion of Champions" quest.
Legend claims the warriors of Spikeroog had tested their mettle in the arena found near the cliffs on the northwestern edge of the isle for centuries. Sadly, an unfortunate recent event had led to the arena being haunted by the ghost of a defeated warrior. Geralt agreed to send the wraith off into the afterlife for good.
...or, if you got this quest after talking to the bookie:
Skelligers love simple entertainments: drinking, singing and beating each other black and blue. These past times require access to public facilities such as inns and arenas. Geralt found such an arena, but instead of Skelligers spilling blood, within it there was only a ghost. A phantom was haunting the place and stifling access to this most cherished form of pleasure. It needed getting rid of.

Quest stages of Master of the Arena
1. Talk with the villagers about the problem at the arena.
Talk to the warriors in the tower overlooking the arena and they will tell you about a warrior named Ulle the Unlucky, who has been cursed and now, as a wraith, is haunting the arena, so they cannot fight there. Offer them help in getting rid of him.
2. Find a way to send Ulle on to the afterlife.
Enter The Arena and talk to Ulle. The curse that has been cast on him makes him lose all fights, so in order to remove it from him, when the fight starts don't attack him, just wait and block his strikes at most.
After a while the fight will end with Ulle winning. He will thank you and then go to the afterlife.
3. Return to the warriors.
Return to the warriors and inform them that you have solved their problem. They will thank you and pay you 15 crowns. They will also tell you to return to them in some time, and you will be paid extra.
Defeating Ulle the Unlucky demanded a fair deal of clever thinking, but Geralt managed just fine. The grateful arena owners promised him a significant prize as soon as fights resumed.
