You will receive this quest when you read the Gwent Lessons notice posted on the Kaer Trolde Harbor Notice Board.
Gwint is played wherever long evenings, warm fires and strong alcohol are present - meaning it is quite popular in the Skellige Isles. Skellige players rank among the best there is, so Geralt decided to try his hand against them and see if he could win their most powerful cards.

Quest stages of Gwent: Skellige Style
1. Win a unique card from Ermion.
Ermion cannot be challenged until after the "Echoes of the Past" quest is completed. He uses the Monsters deck. Once defeated he will hand over the Leshen card and tell you about the next two players in Skellige you can play with. 25 XP.
2. Win a unique card from Crach an Craite.
He uses the Monsters deck. Once defeated he will hand over the Draug card and tell you about another player. 25 XP.
3. Win a unique card from Gremist.
Gremist can be challenged after the "Practicum in Advanced Alchemy" is completed. He uses the Nilfgaardian Empire deck. Once defeated he will hand over the Mysterious Elf card and tell you about another player - Madman Lugos. 25 XP.
4. Win a unique card from Sjusta.
He uses the Monsters deck. Once defeated he will hand over the Yaevinn card. 25 XP.
5. Win a unique card from Madman Lugos.
He uses the Monsters deck. Once defeated he will hand over the Vampire: Katakan card. 25 XP.
6. Quest completed.
When you defeat all your opponents from the islands, you'll get the Emhyr var Emreis: The White Flame leader ability card.
The Skelligers had even better decks than Geralt had expected - yet still he defeated them and added their prize cards to his collection.
