Ciri's Story: Fleeing the Bog Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Quest

Suggested level: 5

Group: Main Quests

Location: Velen

You will receive this quest at the very end of the Ladies of the Wood quest, when the crones tell you about their meeting with Ciri. The crones, who found exhausted Ciri when she came to Velen, took care of her, but not out of a good heart, only for their own benefit and to hand her over to the Wild Hunt. When Ciri discovered what is going on, she decided to run away from them.

When Ciri arrived in Velen, she found herself in the very heart of the notorious Crookback Bog. Exhausted, she sought shelter, but instead found herself in the clutches of three demonic sisters known to the local peasants as the Ladies of the Wood. Ciri quickly realized how poorly that name fit these bloodthirsty hags and fled. She escaped with her life by a hair's breadth, but still had a long and dangerous trek through the marshes ahead of her.

Quest stages of Ciri's Story: Fleeing the Bog

1. Escape from Crookback Bog.

This quest can be completed simply by ignoring the monsters that will try to attack you and quickly running to the other side of the marshes towards the quest marker.

Escape from Crookback Bog.

When you reach your destination, you'll watch a cutscene in which Ciri is chased by a Wild Hunt rider - Imlerith, but manages to outsmart him and this quest ends at the same time as the Ciri's Story: The King of the Wolves quest started.

Escape from Crookback Bog.

Crookback Bog is home to more than its fair share of horrifying beasts, but none of them hold a candle to the general of the Wild Hunt who chased Ciri now. Imlerith - for that was his name - had arrived on the Crones' summons to take Ciri back to his king. The young witcher was able to give her pursuer the slip, but the two foes were destined to meet again in the future.
