Metals Deposits, The Alters Points of Interest

In The Alters, Metals Deposits are resource nodes used to gather Metals, a key resource for crafting items and building base modules.

Metal deposits come in two types:

Shallow Deposits - Marked by red smoke / dust, these can be mined by hand once for a limited amount (60 Metals). They're found by exploring the map and are depleted after mining.
Deep Deposits - These require a Polygonal Scanner to locate the deepest point, followed by placing a Mining Outpost and connecting it to the base with Pylons. Deep deposits provide an infinite supply but must be operated manually or by assigning an Alter.
