In The Alters, Damaged Qubit Chips are collectible items found in small cargo containers you can find while exploring the planet's surface. In total, there are 3 of them. These chips are crucial for upgrading the Quantum Computer, which unlocks additional Alter slots and new research options to enhance your base and gameplay.
They are initially unusable and must be repaired in the Workshop using 20 Metals, 20 Minerals, and the Damaged Chip itself to craft a functional Qubit Chip. The Qubit Chip can be installed in the Quantum Computer to increase the Qubit Level, granting access to new technologies and the ability to create more Alters.
Warning: These chips are missable, and failing to collect them can limit your ability to upgrade the Quantum Computer, restricting research and the number of Alters you can create.
