New Tricks Star Wars Outlaws Quest
Group: Main Quests
Planet: Toshara
You will be given this quest automatically after completing the previous main quest that is "Underworld". Waka will suggest Kay to look for some work and she decides to talk to Danka.
Kay has just gotten familiar with the underworld on Toshara but can probably get some more good advice from a veteran like Danka.
Prior quests
To begin New Tricks you must first complete Underworld.
Quest stages of New Tricks
1. Talk to Danka.
Talk to Danka. She will have a job for you but it will require you to upgrade your blaster. She will provide you with some information on where you can do this.
2. Buy an ion casing from the pawn shop.
Speaking to Danka, Kay has realized that she needs to upgrade her tools to stay effective in the underworld. Danka has a lead on a merchant who can provide parts for Kay to upgrade her blaster.
Go to the pawn shop that Danka mentioned to you, it is located in Mirogana Market, and buy Ion Casing from Belo Roovin.
3. Steal the blaster part from the Pyke or Crimson Dawn district.
Although you can steal from any gang, it will be a much simpler task to steal from the group you sided with in the "Underworld" quest because the fact that you have a reputation with this faction at the "good" level will make it much easier for you to infiltrate their district as the guards will allow you to roam freely in most of it. Don't worry, stealing parts won't cause you to lose your reputation with them.
In both cases, the parts containers are located near vaults, which are in restricted areas - meaning that in these areas you will have to sneak around to avoid detection.
Below I will describe how to get to the containers for both factions, assuming you have a good reputation with them, that is, I will only describe how to get through the restricted area.
A. Stealing the part from the Crimson Dawn district
Enter the Crimson Dawn district through the kitchen, since you have a good reputation the guards will let you through. The restricted area you need to get through is the landing pad. Enter it from the right side...
...and quietly sneak through the center to its other side. Of course, look out for the guards so they don't notice you.
Approach the large fan blocking the entrance to the tunnel. When you use Nix's senses you'll see wires leading to a switch. Order Nix to hold the handle, which will cause the fan to stop for a few seconds, allowing you to enter the tunnel.
go through the pipe, deploy a ladder and go down to the vault area.
The container you are looking for is standing against the wall.
To leave the restricted area go back up the ladder to the upper level. Then you can take the same way out that you came here, but it's simpler to jump over the railing. In the latter case the guards should not notice you.
B. Stealing the part from the Pykes Syndicate district
Enter the Pyke district through any of the entrances, as you have a good reputation with Pyke Syndicate, the guards will not be a problem. Find a small side alley guarded by a security camera.
There is a switch on the wall with which you can turn off the security camera. The easiest way is to ask Nix to press this button.
After disabling the security camera, approach the hatch located near the floor, use the data spike to unlock it, open it and go inside.
The container you are looking for is located in the corner against the wall.
4. Assemble the ion module.
Waka is waiting for you in Jaunt'a Hope, a small settlement located in the western part of Toshara. Leave Mirogana by any exit, get on a speeder and just drive there.
When you reach Jaunta's Hope, get off the speeder and head to the airstrip. The Trailblazer is already waiting for you.
Head inside and approach the blaster workbench. Interact with it to begin modifying your blaster. Select Module > Ion > Burst.
A standard Ion Module configuration that fires ionized particles. Effective against shields and droids.
Once the blaster is upgraded, Kay will call Danka, and she will ask her to steal the contents of a certain cache.
5. Steal the smuggler's cache.
The location you should go to will be marked on the map. It is the Hutt Cartel Storehouse. Get on the speeder and head there.
When you arrive at the site, switch your blaster to the new ion mode and shoot the capacitor visible through the window. This will cause the door to the building to open for a short while, allowing you to go inside. If you don't manage to get in, just shoot the capacitor again.
Take the contents of the crate located inside the building, it's a Tracking Transponder.
6. Deliver the cache to Danka.
There is nothing left for you to do but to return to Danka, who in the meantime has moved to Jaunta's Hope and is waiting for you inside the Daruda Diner. Talk to her and you will get some information from her, which will result in two new intel that will appear in your journal. - The Slicer #1: Underworld Rumors and The Speeder Mechanic #1: Boosting the Speeder.
This quest will end and when you leave the building, a new main quest will start - False Flag.
After completing New Tricks you will get or will be able to get False Flag, The Mechanic and The Slicer.
