In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Upgrades are abilities, tools, or enhancements that improve Cal's combat, exploration, or puzzle-solving capabilities. Most upgrades either expand your Force powers, unlock new traversal abilities, or enhance interactions with the environment and enemies.

Ascension Cable
This ability will allow you to grapple to certain points in the world. To get it simply pick up the Renovation Site 4733 Databank 4/4.
Locations on Koboh
2BD-1 Electro Dart
BD-1 can now fire a dart to overcharge certain objects. BD-1's Dart can also make enemy droids easier to hack, out of combat.
3Koboh Grinder
BD-1 can now spray Koboh matter. In this way you can "carry fire" and destroy obstacles made of Koboh matter.
4Lift and Slam
With these abilities, you can lower or raise doors, platforms, etc. and thus gain access to previously inaccessible places, or open certain containers.
5Nekko Mount
You can now ride nekko mounts. When you sit on the back of a nekko you can jump higher than usual. When riding on the nekko you can also traverse slippery terrain on which you would normally slide.
6Relter Tame
This ability allows you to glide using Relters.
7Slice: BX Droids
8Slice: MagnaGuard
9Slice: Security Droid

10Upgraded Ascension Cable
The upgraded cable will allow you to use the Grapple Balloons.
