The First Shall be Last Red Dead Redemption 2 Mission

To start this mission you must first complete the Americans at Rest mission and then head north of Blackwater to find Javier and Charles who are watching the city from the hill.
Dutch told us to try and rescue Sean from the bounty hunters holding him in Blackwater.
Note: Blackwater and the surrounding area is in lockdown, shown by a red area on the Pause Map. You will become wanted if seen by law in this area.
You'll start watching the city together. After a few minutes, Trelawny will join you to inform you that Sean is being held by bounty hunters and will be transferred upriver to their camp and then to a federal prison.
Following a tip-off on Sean's whereabouts, Arthur, Trelawny, Javier and Charles track lke Skelding's bounty hunters up the Upper Montana River and attempt to rescue Sean.
Gold Medal Checklist
- Silently kill the Bounty Hunters by the river with Javier
- Shoot the rope to free Sean
- Get 10 headshots
- Complete the mission without taking any health items
Prior missions
To begin The First Shall be Last you must first complete Americans at Rest.
Objectives of The First Shall be Last
1. Get on your horse / Mount your horse / Find the boat
Get on your horses and head towards the river.
When you approach the edge of the cliff you should notice a boat moving upriver.
2. Follow Trelawny
Then follow Trellawny and the boat up the river. Just in case, stay away from the edge of the cliff.
When the boat has docked you will will be able to pull out your binoculars and make sure that Sean is definitely one of the boat's passengers.
3. Look for Sean on the boat
Pull out your binoculars and watch what happens on the shore near the boat.
Sean will be led up the canyon and two bounty hunters will remain at the river near the boat.
Before you follow Sean, Trelawny has an idea to quietly eliminate the two bounty hunters who stayed on the shore. You have to do this if you want to earn a gold medal. Ride to the bay where the boat is docked.
4. Follow Javier / Take out the bounty hunters quietly
Wait for Trelawny to drive up to the bounty hunters and cause distraction, then crouch, slowly cross the river and kill the left bounty hunter with a knife. Javier will eliminate the bounty hunter standing on the right side.
5. Take out the bounty hunters
Go up the canyon. Stealth is no longer an option. The first two can be easily eliminated by using Dead Eye and getting two headshots.
Then a regular shooting will begin. Remember the requirements for a gold medal. Hide and watch out especially for snipers standing on the canyon slopes.
6. Follow Javier and Charles
When you leave the canyon, Charles will join you and together you will go to the bounty hunter's camp on the other side of the hill.
7. Take out the bounty hunters
As expected, you will meet more bounty hunters there who need to be eliminated. Use the covers and score more head shots.
Watch out for the sniper on the water tower and a few more hunters on the nearby hills.
8. Rescue Sean
Sean's hanging on a rope tied up by his legs. You can cut him off, but if you want to complete the gold medal requirement the you should first shoot the rope and then cut the rope on his ankles.
Note: At the top, the rope is the least swinging.
The mission will end. Your comrades will return to the gang camp and you will stay where you are.
After completing The First Shall be Last you will get or will be able to get Pouring Forth Oil I-III.
