Objectives of The Fine Art of Conversation
1. Mount your horse / Follow Rains Fall
Get on your horse and follow the chief until you reach the soldiers' camp where Colonel Favours and Captain Monroe are waiting for you. The general and the chief will start talking to each other.
At some point Arthur will start coughing loudly, which will disturb the colonel and one of the soldiers will lead you to a nearby tent to recover there.
When you rest in a tent, you will hear the conversation of two soldiers standing behind the tent. Get up and peek outside and you will find out that Colonel Favours is planning to have Captain Monroe tried for treason.
When you return to the table at which the conversation is taking place, you will witness how the colonel is trying to fulfill his plan.
Arthur will intervene by taking one of the soldiers hostage and tell Captain Monroe to leave the camp with him.
2. Back away to your horse
Move back towards your horse. When you reach the horse, you will release the hostage, jump on the horse and start to ride away.
3. Escape with Captain Monroe
Follow Monroe and Charles. After a while, a few soldiers will catch up with you on horseback. One of the requirements to get the gold medal in this mission is to kill the horse of one of the soldiers chasing you.
Unfortunately, shortly afterwards the horse on which Monroe is riding will also be hit, and Monroe will fall to the ground.
4. Protect Captain Monroe
Get off the horse, don't get too far away from Captain Monroe and eliminate the soldiers who will approach you from different directions. Watch the minimap to know which side the new soldiers are approaching from.
Watch out especially for the wagon that will arrive after a while, as it will bring in quite a few soldiers.
5. Mount your horse / Wait for Captain Monroe to mount your horse / Escape with Charles / Follow Charles
After eliminating all the soldiers, mount your horse, wait for Monroe to get on your horse and continue your escape by following Charles. Along the way, near the railway, you will be attacked once again by three more soldiers riding horses.
When you're safe, you'll head for the train station. On your way, Arthur will tell Monroe that Favours had been planning to have him hanged. Looks like the captain's military career is over. When you get to the Emerald Station, Arthur will give the captain some cash so he can start a new life as Mr. Monroe and the captain will get on the train.
After saying goodbye to ex-captain Monroe, you will meet another person at the station who is leaving. If your honor is high and you have completed the Brothers and Sisters, One and All mission before, it will be Sister Calderón. Otherwise you will see Reverend Swanson at the station. The dialogue with him will be a bit different depending on your honor.
After completing The Fine Art of Conversation you will get or will be able to get The King's Son (1 of 2).
