To begin this mission, go to the barn where you will meet Mr. Dickens and the ranch owner, Mr. David Geddes.
The owner of the ranch likes the way you took care of his property the previous day and will hire you.
Using the pseudonym 'Jim Milton', John has secured a job as a hand at Pronghorn Ranch, and gets to work.

To begin Simple Pleasures you must first complete The Wheel.
Objectives of Simple Pleasures
1. Follow Abe / Welcome Abigail and Jack
Follow Abe, who Mr. Dickens told to find you something to do. When you get out of the barn, a wagon with Abigail and Jack on it will arrive at the farm. Arthur will ask if he can say hello to them and Abe won't mind.
John will say hello to his family and help bring the luggage to the new home.
Abigail apparently heard about his 'show' yesterday, and she won't be happy about it. John will try to explain himself and after a while he will leave the house to go to work with Abe.
2. Follow Abe / Milk the cow
Once again, following Abe. He will take you to the cow stable.
You will sit on the stool next to the cow and Abe will explain to you how to milk cows.
You must alternately and rhythmically pull the cow's udders. To earn the gold medal in this mission, you must fill one of the two buckets in no more than 10 seconds.
3. Follow Abe / Pick up the pitchfork / Clean up the manure / Return the pitchfork
Follow Abe to the next barn. This time you'll have to clean up the manure. Jack will help you with that, he will move the wheelbarrow. Pick up the pitchfork.
The places where the manure is located will be marked on the minimap. Pick them up and drop them onto the wheelbarrow.
When you clean all of them, put down the pitchfork in the marked place.
4. Go to the house to speak with Abigail
Come home to talk to Abigail and rest after a hard day's work.
After completing Simple Pleasures you will get or will be able to get Farming, for Beginners and Fatherhood, for Beginners.
