Arithmancy Doors, Hogwarts Legacy Points of interest

The Arithmancy Doors are distinctive-looking doors that you will be able to open when you solve the puzzle assigned to them. As well as the door, you also need to locate two dials marked as "?" and "??" which in most cases should be somewhere very close to the door. In order to unlock the door, you must set the correct animal symbols on both dials. When they are the right symbols then the door will open when you try to do so.

In order to determine the correct symbols and thus unlock the door you must do the following:

I. Approach the door and when prompted select "Reveal". You should see two triangles with number in the middle and numbers, animal symbols or "?" / "??" on their vertices.

II. Note the animal symbols around the door. Each of them represents a number. Starting from the bottom left, these are the numbers from 0 to 9 in sequence.

Important: Counting starts from 0!

III. There are two puzzles / equations, one for the dial "?", and the other for the dial "??". In both cases, the way to determine the correct number / symbol is the same.

a. Replace the animal symbols with their corresponding numbers. For example, when it is the symbol of a spider then the corresponding number is 8.

b. The sum of the three values located on the vertices of the triangle, one of which is unknown and we are looking for it, should be equal to the value in the center. That is, to determine the value for the symbol "?" or "??" you must subtract the two known values located on the vertices of the triangle from the value in the middle.

c. Convert the resulting number into the appropriate symbol. For example, if you received a value of 1, it will be the symbol of a unicorn.

d. Set the appropriate symbols on both dials and open the door.
