Quest Group: Act 3 - Kill the Khan
Location: Toyotama
Prerequisites: To play this tale, you must first complete the tale Eternal Blue Sky.
This is the last main tale summarizing Jin's relationship with his uncle. It will be unlocked after the completion of the "Eternal Blue Sky" main tale at the end of which Yuna will inform you that your uncle wants to meet you.
The Khan is defeated, but I have one last personal matter to deal with....
Lord Shimura has asked me to meet him under the red-leafed tree by Omi Lake. I need to face him. I won't keep running.
Go to an agreed meeting place. Your uncle will not be there so sit on the dock and wait for him.
After some time your uncle will arrive and you will start talking. He will inform you that the Shogun has disbanded clan Sakai and that you are no longer a samurai. Your lands and estates will be taken over by new samurai who will arrive soon so you tell your uncle that you want to say goodbye to your home. Both of you will mount your horses and head to Omi Village.
I have met Lord Shimura by Omi Lake, as he requested. We have much to talk about. Whatever the future brings, I will see this through. I owe him that much.
When you get to the village, you will meet a peasant whose cart is stuck in the mud. You will decide to help him. The peasant will tell you that he is going to Jogaku becouse the Ghost's army is up there and he wants to support it.
Help push the wagon out of the mud. The peasant will thank you and set off on his journey to Jogaku. You and your uncle will get back on your horses and set off towards your family cemetery.
During the journey your uncle will tell you that the Shogun and he are concerned that more and more people are questioning the samurai leadership and taking the "Ghost" side. Your assurance that they have nothing to fear will not convince him.
When you arrive at the cemetery and pay respect to the dead, your uncle will tell you the whole truth. The Shogun declared you a traitor and ordered him to kill you.
Before you start the duel, your uncle will give you a scroll on which you can write down your last words. He will do the same.
In the rays of the setting sun, accompanied by great music, you will have your final duel.
Once you defeat your uncle, you will have the choice of whether to fulfill his request for honorable death or to leave him alive and walk away.
