Ambush Camps are places overrun by bandits. You must eliminate all the enemies in the area and then find the entrance to the underground bunker, open it, climb down the ladder to the bottom and examine the map you find there. When you do so, some points of interest such as historical markers will be marked on your map. You may also receive a recipe that will teach you how to craft a certain item.
You should find the following recipes in the subsequent cleared camps: Spiked Bat, Stamina Coctail, Smoke Bomb, Baseball Bat Axe, Focus Coctail, Superior Club, Proximity Bomb, Incendiary Bolt, .... (Attractor Bomb, Explosive Bolt)
